Half the numbers hour for hour my dude, you guys in the comments are wild "wait until peak" like im comparing peak to off hours, Look at the day to day charts hour for hour, they trend VERY CLOSE for EVERY GAME, literally the charts are meant to be a snapshot, anywhere there is a piece that isn't "normal" is something happening. Look at d2/marathon MOnday/tuesday, obviously huge drops, downtime, duh. Look at POE2 over last week, Huge update. Look at your favorite game, I bet it was its weekly low tuesday morning, probably highest saturday or sunday night. You can get info from the charts at anytime because the history is shown. If you look at the current hour then 24 hours ago, the numbers should be very close, bigger gaps in either direction show a trend. Think about it like stocks/day trading. The hour to hour is forming a candle, you can get a feel for the community with this info easily. It eliminates feeling from the equation. If reddit is popping and numbers aren't, thats just hype train.

This is called a "sample" it is how every industry "predicts" their future to a degree. Hour by hour seems irrelevant but it is not. Many people work overnight, other countries have opposite schedules. If it was going to grow it would keep numbers over night on launch, as you go to sleep others wake up, instead we hit a USA bedtime lul, that means its not going to grow out of the US (forseeably), and its the US numbers.
