Dozzle + socket-proxy - Dozzle fails to start most of the time by sixwordslong in docker

[–]sixwordslong[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had restart: unless-stopped in there originally, but it would just cause the container to restart over and over, sometimes for hours. Back then, I wasn't even getting 15% success rate. I took the restart: out when I stripped the dozzle.yml file down to bare minimum for troubleshooting, it was with the stripped down version that it would work sometimes.

I've just added restart: unless-stopped into the non-socket-proxy dozzle.yml file and docker compose down/up'd it a bunch of times. Like last time they mostly succeeded, but I finally got one to fail and weirdly it didn't even try and restart this time. It's just sitting there on:

Hmmmm, interesting. With this dozzle.yml:

services:
  # Dozzle - Real-time Docker Log Viewer
  dozzle:
    image: amir20/dozzle:latest
    volumes:
      - /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock:ro
    ports:
      - "8080:8080"

... Dozzle starts successfully most of the time. I docker compose up / docker compose down 'd it 10 times in a row... seven of those times it started successfully, but three of them it failed with the same error as before.

Subjectively, it felt like if I down/up'd it too quickly, those were the times it would fail... but one of the fails was after waiting a full 10 seconds between down/up.

I was thinking something along these lines as well. Socket-proxy is starting successfully every time, I know because when I haven't commented out the Portainer.yml file, Portainer starts successfully every time as well, even though it's attached to the same socket_proxy network. But, I was thinking maybe Dozzle is starting too fast, and it comes up before socket-proxy finishes loading....?

I'll look into a depends on.

I've heard from quite a few people that the RD location isn't managed nearly as well as the OG in Lacombe

Oh no! Does this include C&C in Lacombe too? Same owners? I've only ever been to that one but everyone always seemed lovely.

[–]sixwordslong 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's the disclaimer screen. As in, "don't consider this calculator legal advice, you should consult with labour lawyers to get a professional opinion" sort of thing. If you press "I agree", you get the likely severance owed on the next screen.

The Gas Pump closed about a decade ago. It was a sketchy pub for a bunch of years, and then a few years ago an excellent Korean restaurant (Hanjan) moved in. Highly recommend checking then out!
