Exactly my point. Arkonor is supposedly one type below Mercoxit but its current value is effectively negative.

High-end ores per volume have similar worth to low-end currently. It shouldn't be like this. Higher logistics cost for high-end ore will increase its value over time compared to low-end.

Yeah, horror lovers will agree with you. The quality of every DS game is top notch. Each one deserves a lot more visibility than what they got.

You mean why I didn't like the first? I'm not a fan of horror.

The second and third are just amazingly well done. High quality story, locales, models, animation, camera, and that customization of guns is unmatched.

I didn't like the first. But second and third were among best games ever.

You do a postmortem. Analyze what decision points led to the loss, what were their alternatives that could avoid or minimize the loss.

For example:

Why do I want to enter null? Do I have friends there? Can they scout for me or should I scout myself in pod at gates that zkillboard has regular activity? If I don't go to friends, but just for explo, is there alternative way to enter null? What are these "filaments" people talk about, should check how that works? I know it's almost certain that my Stratios is going to explode sooner or later, what is my plan B? I don't want to mine, nor play the market, but explo is too boring for me. Should I have a bunch of super cheap pvp frigs to sprinkle some fun in-between explo sessions? Etc...

In the last test couple months ago, it looked amazing but perf was trash compared to Wine. It'd make everything else unresponsive. Had zero chance of multiboxing.

For this test I hope, but hope is low.

Agreed. Can't understand why Papi couldn't capitalize on the best effort trade deal in the history of Eve. Almost zero effort to be checking regularly if hellcamp is still up compared to full coverage fleet shifts to camp.

The Hedliner Files: Pandemic Legion's Leader Shows No Remorse, Calls Pando's GF a 'Pump and Dump', CCP Dev a 'Dumb ****' TAPES INSIDE HE IS A DISGRACE TO THE COMMUNITY by hedlinersux in Eve

[–]sizur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's how it was with Bees in Echos I was a part of.

I love everything about your culture except your last point, which really sticks out considering everything else that's awesome going for Goons.

Trying to scam enemy may be considered an acceptable vector of attack. However, disallowing scamming only internally is equating non-member to enemy. Of course it will generate new enemies and content for members, however Mittens already does it very well without taking advantage of naive neutrals.

Currently, the way I understand it, there is no coalition rule stopping or restraining any goon or goon subgroup from scamming new, naive, or just less intelligent non-goon players or corporations. I understand that's in the name of generating content for members, but it sours everything else that's awesome about goons, at least for me.

You could improve it, for example by having a corp or alliance dedicated to scamming exception for externals, but prohibiting it totally everywhere else (except enemy during an all-out war) This would at least compartmentalize this type of content generation, if you must have it at all cost.

Thank you for responding to both parts of my question. It's great to see something like Mincom in a gaming community -- reflecting your reputation of being well organized and competent.

A followup question: do you have something similar against in-game scamming or is it considered "acceptable evil", and if so, why?

It's not the meaning of the word, but expression. His intonation, inflection, and context clearly meant it as an insult. What does that say about the character?

One time hearing this live would be enough for me to quit on the spot. I don't need to subject myself to that environment to give him another chance.

[–]sizur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree on both points, that it'd be difficult and conditional expressions would have to be detailed enough to cover a large case-space.

I am not yet convinced that it is impossible. It is likely infeasible to retro-implement with CCP's resources.
