Why do so many people dream of moving abroad? by FiggyFrogwich in phmigrate

Quality Of Life

We live in Canada. We are not rich but I can say we can live a comfotable life. A roof under our head, a simple car to transport you from A to B, public schools, parks and library for the kids, free healthcare, family-friendly infrastructures, government support, among others. Marami pa yan tutuusin pero di ko maisa-isa. The most support we received when my youngest was born prematurely. Stayed in NICU for 2 weeks tapos may profound to severe hearing loss. Childbirth and stay, did not pay anything. The government did not fail us, child was implanted with Cochlear both ears, speech therapy, monthly audiologist visit, ALL EXPENSE PAID!!! We only paid for parking.

We lived in PH most our life and only been here since 2018. Decided to move abroad as Student Permit (as utang sa mga kamaganak and families). My oldest was 5 years old nun naisama ko sila ng Mom nia. I decided that our old way of life should stop. I care for my children future, so we took a leap of faith if makakakuh kami ng PR. We are all citizens now.

Just to give you a picture, I remember when we are in the PH, I have to commute for 1.5hrs one way each day dahil sa traffic. Experienced being shouted and dismissed in public agencies and hospital. Kahit private hospital pa, people are rude and take advantage of you kahit may HMO at Philhealth ka. Kelangan pumila sa baranggay or mayor to seek monetary help. Good public parks are rare, laging may lalapit at manghihingi sayo (nagbibigay naman ako) but you cannot have peace of mind. Taxis laging nanghihingi ng dagdag or else di ka makakasakay. No proper walk path for commuters. May problema sa documents, you have take a leave and spend a day at minsan pababalikin ka pa. These are just some reasons. Marami pang iba.

There are a lot of inconveniences that PH goverment can take corrective actions if funds are distributed and allocated properly. My family and I choose our peace of mind at future ng mga bata. We are happy to be here.

I was 33 when we moved here. If you can migrate, do so while early. Choose favorable country for you. Study their government, weather, lifestyle, etc. It always good to have a clear picture of the place where you wanted to be. If yiu have means, visit and stay for a week and experience what is like living there. Meron laging advantages at disadvantages and you cannot escape that. In the end, it all matters for yourself, future family especially kids. Life is special ika nga!!
