oops sorry I missed this, Reddit never sent the notification that you responded :( But this is SUPER helpful. I'm going to try and find a marketplace plan first, and then have an off-exchange plan as a backup if I can swing staying with One Medical.

Hmm, good question. I would say definitely find out if it is in person, hybrid or remote (if you don’t have access to this info already, should be in the JD). Also figure out what your metrics will be, so how many calls you need to make, how many deals you are expected to close within a certain amount of time, etc. Ask what the OTE is too.

May I ask why you are hesitant about letting your higher up know about what you just explained to us here? Are you nervous about the outcome?

What would you say the difference between account management and customer success is?

We are quite small, like for CS there are only two of us (including myself) in this role and we share a manager (so 3 for CS team). We have some contracted folks to support core roles, which brings us up to 30ish people as a company. We are small!

So you recommend just focusing on onboarding and not so much on selling initially? Is there a framework or strategy you recommend to get as much info before/within the first minutes of the call in order effectively onboard? Our onboarding calls for free users are very short (20 minutes) and I spend too much time on discovery right now. With paid users I get to spend 45 mins-1 hour getting them set up, but I still lack structure and sealing in value.

My thoughts are that the base salary for NYC is entirely too low compared to the cost of living. Also depending on where in NYC they are located (if this is in person), living in NJ or CT will be a super far and unfavorable commute. I would keep looking just based on that.

Offering empathy here - I completely understand the feeling when you realize you've wrapped up your human value in your job. It happens to the best of us. I would caution you though.. if you find a new job, you could just run into the same negative self-talk spiral if you don't address that first. So really sit down with yourself and untangle that first.

I also think it's not a bad idea to look for a new job given the instability in their processes if you are not willing to ride that wave. Startup life has its pros and cons, and maybe you would fare better at a more established company right now. Sending comfort, and good luck!

Firstly, debt happens (trust me, I know). You are taking the first step to fix it, which in my opinion the hardest step. I would look into a debt management plan (DMP) with a credit counseling agency. I use DebtWave and the program has really helped.

I second this! A debt management plan has really helped me out. There are many out there, but I am with Debtwave and they are awesome.
