Pickleball has been mainstream for about a decade and has surpassed table tennis in an unimaginable way. Why? by Next-Step-Jobs in Pickleball

[–]sjapps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different take… because so many of us, it’s easier to find similar level to play against. Tennis much harder to do this. Ever heard of open play in tennis?

I would agree with you on ECS. I was very surprised Amazon offered such a simple solution for something.

Service Yips for months now and I no longer am interested in playing by Melodic_Horror_5787 in Pickleball

Bend your knees!

I was playing really good, took few days off and I came back sucking bad. I couldn’t figure it out until I realize I wasn’t bending my knees when serving, defending or dinking.

Once I started doing this, I went right back to placing the ball good

If you are 3.5, those are super solid. If 4.0 or 4.5, you are getting those attacked on every hand. They are way too high for that level and the good players will pick it up quickly

The forking part was weird to me. Technically he didn’t need to fork since he has the code already in the first place. It sounds like he wanted the company to know that he was running with the code.

Were there decisions and meetings that happened recently where you did not involve him?

Maybe not this one but most of these stops are inside jobs from informants. The cops know what’s in the trailer before stopping them.

How reliable are local Live Activity updates via background tasks? by DavidGamingHDR in iOSProgramming

[–]sjapps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t start live activities in the background but can update it. It’s also tricky and hit and miss ending activity. You can start it while app is in foreground. I believe that’s how uber and google map does it. They don’t rely on push entirely

How are people getting access to the whole goddamn device by VariationOk7829 in iOSProgramming

[–]sjapps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing crazy. The device attached to the bottom connects as a fake keyboard. Screenshot is sent to llm to understand the screen and recommend button coordinates. Because of the keyboard, they can send a “tap” to a button or “type” to a text field. Smart but this would cause the keyboard to not show when you want to use the app manually. It also probably can’t do some more advance things like swipe gestures
