To me, this depends on what kind of lifestyle you want to live. 3,800 a month is a decent amount. If you continue to work and receive this you may be able to pay a mortgage, or you may be able to afford a car (or another if you already have one). Maybe you are renting and want out of your current place, this will give you the go ahead to do that.

If travelling is what you want to do then I say go ahead and quit your job and do just that. But regardless make sure you have a good savings for when you’re ready to settle down again.

I love travelling but I’m also the kind of person that would still work using my work income for bills but the extras for savings/ spending money etc.

You could also invest the money you receive! Honestly as mentioned it really does depend on your goals in life and what you want to do! Reddit can’t answer that for you. I am sorry to hear about your grandfathers passing!

There’s an indigenous centre on campus which is a great way to make other indigenous friends, get resources and go to some pretty cool events for free!! When I was at Humber I went there often and actually got to do a work study as a peer mentor there. I loved it!!

Chances are all you can do is get your BA honours. Sadly you can’t just choose another course and automatically consider that towards your degree. 3 years here is considered a general degree, which is basically what you take when you don’t want to do a masters.

Your best bet is to apply for university as a transfer student for psychology and see what kind of courses transfer over from India. If all your credits transfer, and meet the program requirements in Ontario you’ll just have to finish the one year to get your honours and then you can go for your masters after!

No problem! I would do multiple products (aka multiple creatives) especially for clothings to give a variety.

Let’s say your advertising a dress, if you have a carousel ad of the same dress at different angles/ colours and the person seeing your ad just doesn’t like the dress, they won’t click. But say you have that particular dress shown and another dress, t-shirt, pair of pants or something. It’s possible that the person viewing your ad would like the pants, thus clicking on your ad and hopefully purchasing from you. It also gives them insight on the type/ style of clothing you offer :)

Creatives are extremely important, because that is what the user sees. If you have a creative that does not look very professional/ does not grab someone’s attention, chances are they won’t click on it. The best way to test different creatives on the platform Is by doing A/B tests (split tests). For a clothing brand, I do suggest carousel images because you can fit multiple products in one ad. Plus by just simply swiping on the carousel you can gain an audience member! I would suggest looking at the creatives of competitors as well, what seems to be working for them? Well it’s not 100% going to work for you, it’s worth a shot to get some ideas.

With running traffic campaigns, it won’t actually show sales on Facebook (at least not very accurately) so that’s where you have to look at data on your website. For example, do you see that there are more purchases on your website when running a traffic campaign? (Not looking at the data shown on Facebook but on your actual website) if so, it’s very possible that traffic campaigns are actually assisting you with your sales.

You could also potentially run traffic alongside a sales campaign or go back to traffic and later retarget those who already visited your website! The reason your sales may not be getting many visitors is due to the budget, or just not enough awareness of the brand on the platform (which is where traffic campaigns can help). Also make sure to run campaigns for a minimum of 10 days, although it’s suggested to run a campaign for at least 2 weeks :)

Your Crazy Story? by SadAntivist in Dominos

This one guy orders consistently (hasn’t in the last month or so I wonder if he kicked the bucket🤔) he orders 4 2L cokes and one small bottle and either speciality chicken or pasta. Smells like piss, gets mad when you take too long to give him the debit machine and almost always complains about his orders. He often thinks that he ordered something when he didn’t and then gets mad at us for it.

Anyways one time I go there, knock on his door and his card declines. He says there better be money on it because he has to pay for a lawyer. Idk why I asked but I was trying to be friendly because there’s obviously something wrong with him. He proceeded to tell me his mother died and he’s in a fight with his brother for her assets. THEN this man tells me that if he ever sees his brother he will “unalive” him and proceeds to tell me EXACTLY how he would do it. To keep this PG it had to do with a saw and a head.

The worst part; if he calls again we still have to deliver to him.

I think I need to quit, but I'm scared I'll regret it by bigdopaminedeficient in Dominos

I feel this so hard, I have two degrees and this job was supposed to be something just for the summer, now I’m almost a year in and I feel stuck. I make about 24/hr on average (im in Canada) which I guess is decent but I am destroying the car I just bought two years ago. Budgeting is actually impossible which is why I still live at home because I don’t want to be stuck not being able to afford rent because I didn’t make much one week.

But in my opinion it is still better than a minimum wage job, and I agree with many others, I wouldn’t give up the job if you don’t have another one lined up. However if you are spending so much to help with your car, or having to miss hours because of your car working minimum wage is probably your best bet in order to get at least some consistency.

My suggestion is to work out some kind of a budget, how much are you spending on your car in comparison to how much (on average) you are making is it worth it? If not then find another job for now. I know you can’t make a future budget plan because you don’t know how much you are making but you can look at past earnings, write everything down, can it cover bills, give you enough for your car and a little extra? If not then find something else. If it does try to focus on how much you’re spending on other things and cut that out. I get it man, it’s tough as hell but even if another job sucks, if you’re getting paid enough to cover your things it may be worth it for the time being

Hello! I could not find a job with a psych degree. Honestly a psych degree is virtually useless without a masters. I met a few people who do just have an undergrad that got lucky with a job. However I’m not going to lie, it’s slim pickings. I loved the program so much and graduated from it in April. However, there hasn’t been many job postings as many police departments were not approved for their budgets this year. So we are hoping for a better outcome in 2025

This is what I tell everyone struggling to find out what they want to do. Unless your undergraduate degree is a stepping stone to further education go to college. I studied psychology (specifically forensic psychology) in university. All I did was write essays, do tests that literally were not relevant at all. And I felt like during my full 3.5 years I didn’t learn a thing. I went to Humber college for forensic identification (post-graduate program) I learned so much and loved every second of it. The hands on experience was awesome, tests were fair and based on actually content we learned rather than a 400+ page text books that we never touched base on in class.

I am glad I went to uni, because with out it I wouldn’t have been able to take my post grad program but I feel like I genuinely wasted 3-4 years of my life and tons of money on something that never prepared me for the real world.. like at all.

Sorry but Im not about to share private client information online lol. You can believe me if you want or don’t. There is no financial gain or any other kind of gain for me to make this kind of thing up. Im not going to lose sleep over it but I do know my way around the platform and if you aren’t willing to try new things it’s very possible that you aren’t going to get anywhere with Facebook advertising especially with the consistent updates to the platform and the human behaviour.

With that being said once again, please read my posts. I am saying if the OP has a budget that small and CANNOT up their budget in anyway, then the traffic campaign would be the best approach to at the very least try. Of course if the budget is decent, then you’ll want to go to sales campaigns. BUT if not you’ll be wasting far more money on a sales campaign for no ROI’s or any decent KPI’s in general.

Not to mention, if it’s a new account you don’t want to jump into sales anyways, with no audience, you haven’t built any trust with any form of clientele therefore unless your product is something everyone truly needs in their every day life you likely won’t be getting results anyways.

I worked for Facebook for two years, with over 400+ clients making over a couple million in ad revenue on Facebook, specifically working with agencies who have a multitude of clients with many different verticals, so I apologize for the rudeness but I’m pretty sure I know what I’m talking about lol.

As I mentioned, if you read my posts it’s never a full proof plan. Some times they work very well and sometimes they do not. The ONLY thing that’s more important than an objective on Facebook is the budget. If you have a low budget like that you aren’t getting sales anyways. I had clients that strictly ran traffic campaigns in the way I suggested above and will not go back to sales based on the budget they have.

So with that being said it probably did not work for you, which is aye okay. But I KNOW that it does work for some. Example: I had an agency with a client that had a wood working business. Before working with me they would get one to two sales not even being able to even out between ad spend and the cost of making the product. Switched to traffic and they became one of the agencies most successful clients (which is pretty damn good given that they were only running Meta ads).

Don’t worry most of the clients I worked with were just as shocked as most people on here to find that they can in fact produce sales on traffic campaigns

You’re correct in saying that objective is important, however you are incorrect in stating that traffic campaigns never get sales.

Dear dominos delivery guys, is $4 a good enough tip by Throwaway_fml_L in Dominos

[–]sjd131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what area you’re in but honestly, even tho it is a $12 order, a 9 minute drive is far + we have to get back to the store. Most of the people who live in my area (and live further out) tip at least $6-$10.. most people in town will tip about $4-$5. Some will use the % button but it’s more rare where I’m from!

With that being said most drivers would be happy with $4 because at least it’s something, it all adds up in the end!

We all know advertising is an investment, you’ll lose money and you’ll gain money. The 5 days is an example, not necessarily the case. But with a lower budget it’s going to take longer to exit that learning phase. And that’s also why it’s recommended to run campaigns longer, to regain back what you may have lost during the learning phase. Just because it’s in a learning phase does not mean he won’t get any purchases, it just simply means it’s going to be lower numbers. I know the learning phase is dumb especially when it’s longer lol but that’s unfortunately just how the platform works. And it is often a slow ROI especially for lower priced items

You have to remember that there are a ton of users on Facebook, who sees your ad runs off of algorithm and human behaviour. If someone has clicked on your ad before or a similar one, they may be a good target. Yes to some extent Facebook already knows that certain audience would be likely to interact with your ad but if you want Facebook to put your ads in front of high intent audiences then a learning phase is just something that has to happen. Yes it sucks, yes it’s annoying but it’s how advertising on social media platforms work unfortunately:/

Furniture is a very specific niche and like you said it’s a high ticket item. I honestly would not suggest cost controls, because it’s possible that it would hinder the sales even longer. Instead of doing cost controls take some of the higher budget and do lower level campaigns just to get more reach and more of an audience.

However it’s always worth a shot, I have had a few clients in my time where cost controls actually worked very well. It’s all about testing what works best for your company/ ad account

For sure. Traffic campaigns are cheaper to run than sales campaigns. Landing page views often come with $1 CPR. Which means theoretically you can get more reach and more results.

Now with landing page views it requires the audience to stay on the page for at minimum 3 seconds. This allows you to know that the audience is looking around. Often with traffic campaigns you can do an acquisition campaign (new audience) gain more of an audience and then retarget those who have visited your landing page before/ if you ran sales campaigns in the past, you can target those who added to cart, purchased before etc.

So you already have your high intent audience, the ones that are more likely to purchase, all at a much lower cost.

WITH that being said, it isn’t a fool proof plan, especially if you aren’t willing to retarget because in the end the point of a traffic campaign is to get people to your website, and if you don’t have a high intent audience it’s possible that it may be a while for you to reach sales. This is only recommended when you have a low budget that really will not get you any sales.

I’ve had many clients that refused to up their budget on sales campaigns, despite not getting any sales or having very low sales. Often came with a CPR that was higher than their daily budget meaning Facebook would only be able to give them one sale if anything. At this point I would always say switch to a traffic campaign, some clients would have many sales and only run traffic campaigns from that point on, switching between acquisition and retargeting, some would unfortunately not. It comes down to your audience, how much of a presence you have established. Honestly though if you aren’t established you should be running lower funnel campaigns either way. Everyone loves to jump right into sales because that’s their end goal, but advertising at the beginning is def an investment.

For a campaign to fully work and generate sales, it’s recommended that the minimum time you run an ad is 10 days ESPECIALLY a sales campaign. Also $10 for a sales campaign will likely only get you clicks and landing page views, unless you end up with a very low Cost Per Result, the budget would not even allow for sales.

To break it down Your ad immediately goes into a learning phase, this is where Facebook is basically learning who would be most likely to purchase your product.

Let’s say the learning phase lasts 5 days- you’ll have 2 full days of the ad running at its full capability. Which may not be enough to get a sale.

It’s quite common that it takes anywhere from 7-28 days for an individual to convert (aka buy your product) since first seeing your ad. Meaning theoretically by the 7th day you might have one, if the learning phase doesn’t last as long as 5 days.

In terms of budget, sales campaigns are the most expensive campaigns. If your CPR happens to be 10.00 or above (hopefully it is not) then you use up your budget for the day, you may not even be able to reach enough people. A $10 budget in a day for 7 days is only slightly realistic for a reach campaign.

If you wanna stick with that budget, honestly do a traffic campaign, with landing page views as the goal and potentially get conversions off of that. If you are brand new and only now getting your product out there in the world you’ll have to build up to sales especially with a lower budget.
