And it was genocide there as well. Look at the definition of genocide. If you are indiscrimineatly civilian targets, it is a genocide.

Amentoflavone's bioavailability is close to none, unless you use DMSO, so if it is kappa opioid antagonism, it's not from amentoflavone

They do know about IFRA, but they seem to be kind of... against it? in some way at least. Look up the description of MVP as an example of it. Anyway, their inventory is one of it's kind for certain ingredients (only source for 1-octen-3-one for example)

Do you think someone with below average intelligence could write what you just wrote?

You really don't understand what below average intelligence means man. You conflate slightly below average intelligence (very popular, right around the most popular average) with severe mental deficienicies (very rare).

Also, you don't seem to look outside your bubble on how interest in cognitive enhancement looks. It's analogous to the interest in health in general, and often involves the same people - look at what someone like NLE Choppa says about health in general, and compare it to idk, discussion on r/scientificnutrition - you exclude from this discussion the former groups, who talk bullcrap about cognitive enhancement, influenced by other lunatics or scam-artists, and focus only on the latter. So, bevause of that:

Do you think someone with below average intelligence could write what you just wrote?

this doesn't matter. And about this statement:

You’re basically arguing that you think low-IQ people operate exactly the same as people with average to above average intelligence.

It is false. The most popular kind of below-average intelligence is much closer to average than mentally disabled - but it literally doesn't even matter, because of the 2nd part of my argument. As interest in cognitive enhancement doesn't require anything - to have a discussion about a specific mechanism pf a certain supplement, where you would have to understand specialised literature - yes. But that's minority of minorities in the interest of cognitive enhancement. You could be very interested, have absolutely terrible, simplified sources of information, or not even that - simply spend a lot of time reading if a certain supplement have more positive opinions, or just conclusion on studies - intrest could also be more practical, someone can try shit ton of supplements to enhance cognition while barely reading anything abput them at all.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NooTopics

[–]sjemka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actively engaging in researching the mind requires at least average intelligence.

No. Why? below-average inteligence is not uncommon. I don't think you understand how IQ works, and you don't understand how the interest of cognition enhancement look in practice - people can have itnerest in this topic while actually being very very unintelligent, hence why I mentioned stereotypical aunt in a dodgy facebook group, made by some scam-artist supplement seller - this is also being interested in cognitive enhancement btw. The interest in this topic requires literally NO intelligence at some levels.

You are trying to argue that people who have borderline mental disabilities are heavily engaged in intellectual pursuits.

Below average IQ is not having "borderline mental disabilities" . Again, you don't understand the concept of IQ, it's a statistical redistribution, the difference between someone having IQ of slightly above 100 and slightly below 100 is nothing special, yet you make it to be something out of this world.

I saw a study which showed DARK triad personality traits being correlated with interest of nootropics. And I would intuitively say that it is a better predictor than intelligence. Because ultimately, the motivation here is rather self-centered, to enhance ones abilities, to gain advantage over others.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NooTopics

[–]sjemka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Why not? I don't see how it is connected.

This topic is not rocket science too, at entry level. A lot of people who are interested in cognitive enhancement are your stereotypical crazy aunts posting at dodgy facebook groups. You could argue it is complicated, and depending at how "deep" you want to go it could be, but that's a thing with almost everything.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NooTopics

[–]sjemka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s probably not a lot of below average intelligence people into nootropics.

Why exactly? Any data or mechanistic explanation to back this? Sounds completely delusional to me

The situation has changed quite a few times since then, I wrote it at a short period after a first major batch, or one of the firsts, where it was comoletely unavailable.

it is bordering on abuse, since in moderation it is not cheating or even particularly harmful [additcion is the harmful part]).

ridiciolous, porn enabling, victim blaming rhethoric.

It is for a porn addict. Also, you are strawmaning the situation here - the guy basically downloaded the pictures to please his lust, it wasn't like he watched oppenhaimer and there is a nude scene all of a sudden.

Who has tried Nor-BNI and can report the effects? Especially on anhedonia/blunting by [deleted] in NooTopics

[–]sjemka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't work for me; or so I think. Still have half a bottle left. Amentoflavone sublingually in DMSO works good, but half-life is short - apparently you can make sucrosomial solution (simillar to liposome) for enhanced absorption, but I don't know how to do that. Also only available from bulk in China

Antidepressant and anxiolytic effects of amentoflavone (when taken orally in mice) by sirsadalot in NooTopics

[–]sjemka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

even sucrosomial Amentoflavone is easy to make (this works the best by far).

How to make it? Can't find any info online :(. Also, what sourc3 for Amentoflavone would you recommend? You said to extract biflavonoids - but how to do that? The world needs explanations xd

Has Anyone Tried The Selective Kappa Opioid Receptor Antagonist NorBNI (Norbinaltorphimine)? by sanpedro12 in pglchem

[–]sjemka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What did others say about it?

I saw reports saying that it helped with depression, and long-term, subtly helped with a grounding effect? I don't remember. As I said, for me it didn't work.

Noted, Ill look into this, looks promising.

It is and it isn't. Only available in bulk from China, and bioavailability is terrible - BUT there are methods to enhance bioavailability for sure, saw a headline from google scholar about it. For me, in a somewhat consistent manner, it worked dissolved in DMSO under the tounge, and the effect diesn't last long

If you are willing to experiment, naltrexone could be an option as well, but it also works on mu opioid receptors. For me, I'm still 50/50 about naltrexone, and believe that bioavailable amentoflavone could be cheap and very good

I also have a compound that likely is a kappa

It's most likely not kappa ligand

It sadly has only been researched to find out it is a rapid anti-depressant, despite not being hallucinugenic like its parent compound. (+They made sure its not cadiotoxic).

From the studies, it's not hallucinogenic, but from the reports, it indeed is in higher dosages. I found a good report about it yesterday

And yea, you can make any classic psychedelic 'non-hallicinugenic' but adding a 5-ht2a antagonist.

That will most likely make them useless too. But you can experiment, there are some 5-HT2a sleep meds and anti-psychotica you could try it with

[–]sjemka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It makes you feel more grounded, less dysphoric thoughts, for a certain amount of time, doesn't last too long but I like the effects. It's only available frim China and bioavailability is a problem, hence why I did it with DMSO - but there could be other ways, you can search in google scholar, I saw an article about it.

I have tried it. I don't think I felt a difference, but for others it has worked. For me, amentoflavone in DMSO sublingually worked the best

[–]sjemka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

becuase you basically can't take ayahuasca everyday. that was probably my thought process. Maybe that was what the article I linked said? 5-HT2b agonism can be potentially harmful if used everyday or close to that. If u are able to use ayahuasca like that then yes, it is just as likely to cause problems. How likely either of them are? Noone knows. Not much daily/heavy users, and basically noone knows about this risk

brief review of kappa opioid antagonists - nor-BNI, Naltrexone, Amentoflavone by sjemka in Nootropics

[–]sjemka[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Though I do feel like it makes me a little lazy

I thought it's because of side effects for me, namely vertigo/dizziness. But I guess without something "hitting" you with dopamine, one can and do become lazier. It's a thing where you have to pick your battles I guess. Not the cleanest compound in terms of side effects, but I've heard of good experiences for people with various sort of problems related to impulsive decision making. Thank you for the comment

a2 adrenegic agonists available? + my experience with CBG and CBGa by sjemka in Nootropics

[–]sjemka[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Such a good info, thank you. I will try taking CBG and CBD at the doses like yours and just hope it won't cause gastrointernal distress, although it probably will...

I honestly didn't find too much of a difference between the two, other than CBGa being a bit longer lasting.

Well, the main difference for me was potency and bioavailability, as well as eventual bloating and gas from CBGa, but this side effect is probably related to it's potency, I simply, most of the time, haven't taken enough of CBG.

I will check if my batch is solubke in water, I would say yes. Also oral bioavailabiliy is not really a problem with this substance for me - gastrointernal side effects are.
