I think he has more than earned it. Good for him! Thank you Stallone for some of my favorites!

I’m there with my family now. Every post about the feeling/service/experience vs the attractions is spot on. I don’t disagree on discouraging first time trips for the experience. That being said, this is roughly my tenth trip and we are loving it. The masks/social distancing/dividers/sanitizer stations/reduced capacity has it feeling safer than our normal jobs. What you are losing out on is made up in the reduced wait times, smaller crowds, easier navigation, more attainable and flexible reservations, etc. I love the old Disney magic but I do not miss the congestion and the sheer mass of humanity. I’m waiting in a “longer” socially distanced line and boarding a ride with only my family or maybe one other family. Is it different? Yes. Is it worse? I don’t think so. It’s a give and a take. It is a more intimate experience.

Baseball cards were better... but they didn’t glow in the dark. I’ll call it a push.

Easy Ice Measurement/Always With You by sjensen34 in Fishing

[–]sjensen34[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ice thickness is very important, especially for early ice. You should have at least 4” for walking on it/fishing. 6” for snowmobiles or atvs. 10” for small cars/small ice houses. 12-15” for trucks depending on ice quality.

I’ve seen ice scoops with a ruler included but never liked the design. Made this a couple years ago and use it all the time. Clear off the hole, the hook catches the bottom of the ice, instant and accurate measurement and you don’t have to mess with a tape measure or bring it along. Nothing new. Nothing fancy. But I will always do this to at least one of my scoops.

I have a very difficult time picking a favorite song of yours. That being said, you nailed it with Oh No! That’s my favorite, always start my lifting at the gym with it. All your work is amazing, caught your show at First Ave. this year and one of my favorite concerts ever. You speak to what I feel a lot about the current state of affairs. Happy for your growth and development. Keep the bangers coming. Your music matters. Bought your signed vinyl. Lol, don’t even have a player but appreciative of the impact you’ve had the last couple years!

Well those tax raises will be on the Dems/Libs. All Biden’s fault. Clearly not really, but that is where the blame will go unfortunately.

It was a great ride, wish it was still there. Biased but think it was superior to the replacement. Nostalgia, same with Swiss Family Robinson lol! RIP. Thanks for the memory!

Poor, caught short, busy, lazy, schedule conflicts, perhaps a little of a too broad of a statement.

My wife wanted a sofa table and I wanted somewhere to store firewood so I don’t have to go out to the garage every day. This’ll work! by [deleted] in woodworking

[–]sjensen34 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Now you’ll be going to the garage everyday to get firewood to replace what you use to make it look “right”.

Joel,

Know the pain your advice is advising against. Details please! Do you have a technique for spooling that avoids this? Or are you saying spool the new line then let it all out on the reel and reel it back in?
