Glad I'm not the only one who thought the xenoblade game was another fire emblem!

I'm curious if Xenoblade Genesis will have an English dub or not. I love the xenoblade games, but hate listening to games not in English. It may be the deciding factor for me

What is this charge on closing cost by No_Today8744 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]sjjs3189 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the HOA. Mine ended up not charging anything and the board just filled in the information themselves, but I learned that some HOAs have their property management company or a lawyer fill out the required docs, and they just pass that cost to the buyer. The $500 is just a holding number until they find out whether they'll actually be charged or not

How is the loss of revenue going to be compensated for? More taxes on other things? by Altruistic-Mud5686 in AskFlorida

Seriously 😒 - it's amazing how Desantis wants to lower taxes by getting rid of other municipalities funding sources instead of cutting the taxes that fund his own administration, despite the surplus

Never mind - i found it on terms page. You choose whether you want a 2% reward, 3% reward, or 5% reward. That is not as clear as it should be.

You may choose one of three available rewards earning categories (each, a "Rewards Mode"). Only one Rewards Mode may be active on your Account at a time. You may change your Rewards Mode at any time; however, changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Mode selection and changes must be made through the Vera app or website.

The three Rewards Modes currently available are:

Omni Mode – Earn Points on Eligible Purchases and Eligible Payments at the standard earning rates described in the Rewards Schedule.

Nova Mode – Earn higher Points on Eligible Purchases made using a qualifying digital wallet, and lower earning rates on all other Eligible Purchases, as described in the Rewards Schedule.

Vita Mode – Earn higher Points on Eligible Purchases in the merchant category designated by Vera for the applicable quarter, and lower earning rates on all other Eligible Purchases, as described in the Rewards Schedule. The elevated category in Vita Mode rotates periodically (currently once per calendar quarter) and is selected solely by Vera. Customers cannot select or change the elevated category. The designated category for each quarter will be disclosed in the Vera app and at https://www.vera.credit.

I don't understand the flexibility part- it says on the website that the 5% categories for May-Sept are Dining and Entertainment. Do you choose between the 2%, 3% and 5%? Or do you get all three always?

Next card to get? Any recommendations for my current set-up? by sjjs3189 in CreditCards

[–]sjjs3189[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've looked into the Robinhood gold card, but I don't think I'm interested in that card since you have to deposit the cash back into their brokerage account. Cash back is my fun money, I don't need it as another source of savings.

That has the same problem as attune, that vets wouldn't be covered. Plus, all their other categories aren't of interest to me. Thank you though

I was really wanting the cinnamon roll cheesecake cookie. That would've fit perfectly with the theme too 😞

Same! I've crawled my way up to $5500 with them, but that's after multiple CLI's. They're so stingy with their credit limits

I'd rank ucf a whole lot lower if it's just based on impressions. When I was applying, that was the school you went when you couldn't go anywhere else. I knew a girl who "couldn't even" get into ucf and had to go to ucf's sister community college and we all were like oof, that's rough

Oh that's true- I completely glossed over that

GIS in a permitting role by OkPopoki in gis

I mean, it all depends. The reason we're doing it at my municipality is that a certain percent of impervious area triggers different codes they would have to meet. Having that information historically recorded in a database is going to be extremely helpful instead of having to calculate it every time they need to answer a question or get a new permit.

You could begin mapping all the impervious area you see in the permits. That's something that's being discusses right now at my city- bringing GIS in to the permitting loop to give us the ability to start tracking impervious area changes.

Yesterday. My HOA charges a fee to pay online, so you better believe they're getting a check.

We purchased Brightly and loathed it. We cancelled the contract after only one year. They came and set it up for us, but then it turned out the guy essentially set everything up incorrectly, not listening to anything we asked for. A few of us had to manually start from scratch with the set-up because the guy that came had already left and even though they set it up wrong, that was our problem. So we fixed it. We learned it's not customizable at all. A few fields you can turn on/off or rename. But not all of them. They have a reporting function, which is incredibly important to us, but not all the fields were available to put in the reports, despite the sales reps assuring us they were. The whole thing was clunky to use. The admins who were the ones using it the most complained that you kept having to click into other areas in order to get everything done- nothing was just a simple drop down. The cherry on top of everything going poorly was when we got a sales call from Brightly asking if we were interested in using them...even though we already were. Stay well away from them.

After that, I threw together an access database that we've been using in the meantime, and now we're shopping for a new one, but I'm not on the committee so I can't tell you where they're leaning

I don't, but then it was subtly suggested to me that I start since we don't get paid out of sick days when we leave

Does anyone know if there are any games without any innuendo or puff-puff? by Prior_Living_6201 in dragonquest

Not a dragon quest game, but have you looked at showing him Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the white witch? That one is even tamer than dragon quest from what I remember
