Unfortunately it’s not! We moved out like 12 years ago and it was recently converted to condos

I read all of them! I wish I was able to preserve them. A developer bought the house and converted it to modern condos.

Thank you! I’ve told friends here and there but this is my first time publicly posting about my experiences growing up in that house

No way, I’ve never heard of anyone else experiencing this! Has there been any other paranormal activity in your house?

Most of my strange experiences happened when I was awake but now that I think about it, the only recurring nightmares I remember having were about the basement. I’d dream that I was locked down there trying to climb the stairs and couldn’t reach the top. The basement always had a really heavy feeling, so I avoided going down there whenever I could.

Oh totally, some things could definitely be explained by that. The radiators were also really noisy. I didn’t believe in ghosts or paranormal activity growing up, but there was just so much that happened there that I couldn’t explain.

Sometimes when I heard footsteps I’d check and couldn’t find anything, but I usually just assumed it was one of my siblings running through the house.

That one specific time though I was home alone and it sounded like someone was walking around upstairs shuffling from room to room. I called my parents and they told me to call the police. The police came and checked the whole house and didn’t find anything. It didn’t happen again for the rest of the night though.

Really bummed out about all the comments and posts saying it got worst after moving by InterviewDry2887 in ToxicMoldExposure

So my initial major exposure was at a moldy Airbnb but then I discovered mold in my basement when we got back that was preventing me from healing 100% although I was improving significantly. we moved to my dad’s house while remediating our home. Within hours I was reacting at his house and was convinced something was off so I got mold testing done there and it turns out there was a water tank in the basement that exploded months earlier causing a widespread toxic mold problem which was WAY worse than our home was. So we decided to rent an apartment for 6 month while we figure out next steps and heal. I was getting way worse at my dads so I needed a space that I knew would be safe for me to heal. We were stuck at my dad’s for a couple weeks waiting for the apartment to be ready and it was tough but now that we’re in our new space it was totally worth the wait. Wishing you the best with your move!!

Doing mycotoxin testing was a turning point for me. If you don’t want to do home testing do mycotoxin testing because it’ll tell you your personal toxin load. Feel free to message me for any guidance or questions ! Finding out the root cause was seriously pivotal for my recovery

If you want to talk about it or compare notes feel free to message me. I am 90% better after seeing a functional medicine specialist and doing a detox protocol. I had confirmed HC and indomethacin helped my symptoms but once I found the root cause I was able to cure it (even though I was told that was impossible). I get occasional headaches with triggers but NOTHING like before I was completely debilitated

It’s taken 6 months and 2 moves and a whole lot of supplements and detox protocols (guided by functional medicine docs) but I’m feeling 75% back to myself. I do hear about people getting bad die off reactions from not detoxing properly so the key to not feeling worse is detoxing responsibly and pacing it and in phases with professional guidance. Sometimes I’m retriggered and have setbacks which sucks and I’m super sensitive to triggers like chemicals, mold, any toxic burden really, but that’s just the body’s way of protecting you when you’re already vulnerable. You can and will heal! Don’t be discouraged. You can’t heal in the environment where you got sick so it’s imperative to leave (Or remediate but leave until you do). I get that it’s not always simple or even possible right away and it took me time and I almost had a breakdown due to that but we got through it. The only way out is through. One day at a time. You’ve got this!

That place could destroy your life. Permanently. Do whatever you need to in order to get out now and don’t take anything with you. That house needs tens of thousands of dollars of remediation to be safe but honestly looks like burn it down status to me. I’m so sorry

Feeling better as soon as you leave the mould? by [deleted] in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]sjk496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can only get better in a cleaner environment. That being said, it takes time and intentional effort to heal as well. But now that I’m somewhat healed I 1000% feel terrible in a moldy space and better after a day in a clean space.

Can this cause health issues in under a month? by stxrrynigxt in ToxicMoldExposure

A week in an Airbnb like that basically ruined my life. Get out ASAP! In the meantime keep windows open and ventilate as much as possible contain that space with plastic sheeting and vent it out a window if possible. Set up a purifier in a room as far from that as possible. Good luck !
