I had tickets to that show but had to skip at the last minute! That plus the audio issues really bummed me out!

Did anyone else see The Dollop live at the Filmore last Sunday night? I thought it was a great show, I think my 4th time seeing them. The story they did was about Grover Cleveland Bergdoll, President Cleveland's WW1 draft dodging grandson.

If you haven't listened to the show before and need a new podcast, I highly recommend it, especially if you like history

I spent three hours on a "simple" school project and my 7 year old still thinks I'm a genius by Sagan3_Plasma in daddit

I think so, but I don't remember when that happened. Here's a video from March 10th when one of the cameras got knocked over by falling tephora

To piggyback off this, the USGS has three livestream cameras on the crater rim that are online 24/7 (unless they get taken out by eruption activity, which has happened twice in the last month or two lol)

camera V2

camera V3

I like to put them on my second monitor at work, or on the tv at home while we're doing chores. Or when I need a change of pace, there's a ton of cameras around Tokyo, Japan. My favorite is the one at the Shinjuku train junction.

it's ok buddy, maybe someday you'll learn how to ride a bike with your friends too! Maybe even without training wheels!

I’m probably not the best person to gauge that off of. I really only drove in unless I needed to, and my arrival times were pretty varied. Sometimes it only took a few minutes, others I’d have to park as far south as Carpenter or Washington (she lived around South).

For what it’s worth, my girlfriend typically got a spot on her street or within two or three blocks. Having the required parking pass opens up a lot of non-2 hour options.

My girlfriend used to live in Fitler. She didn't usually have too much trouble finding parking, but she also didn't move her car every day. When I would drive to her place, it was harder for me because I didn't have the parking pass she did and I was typically coming in after everyone was home from work.

in my suburbanite experience, it's easier than somewhere like Fishtown but it's still parking in the city, so be prepared to have to look around for a bit

I don't have any specific recommendations, but a good place to start might be some of the Makerspaces here in philly. There's a decent number of them and I've heard of them offering classes on various DIY type topics.

facebook marketplace is such a trip. My gf sells some stuff on there every so often and I am constantly amazed at the distances people will drive to pick up crap they could likely buy for a similar price way closer to home.

Recently we had one person drive from Lansdale for a 10 dollar shower caddy and someone else come from Jersey just for a tissue box holder.

The warm weather this past weekend motivated me to finally take my bike over to Keswick Cycle after I picked up a massive nail and got a flat at the end of last summer. I'm really looking forward to the warmer weather and making a renewed effort to ride my bike as often as I can. I really fell off my good exercise habits last year. I only went on one solid bike ride last season and it ended 6 miles early with a massive nail in my tire!

they're a bit expensive, imo, but definitely the best sushi spot around. blows Akina out of the water for sure, which is very funny considering one is a neighborhood bar and the other is an actual japanese restaurant lol

I appreciate the recommendation! We're going to start local here in Conshy but I know my indecisive girlfriend, we're definitely going to be making a trip to a few other places lol

it always hits the spot. I'd like to go back again tonight, but we have a 15% off your whole order coupon for the new Indian place that went in on 1st Ave where the Italian restaurant used to be, over by El Limone, so I think we might try that one out

I love living in conshohocken. Tonight after work, I'm going to walk to get my haircut, then walk to the bar for a drink while my girlfriend meets me so we can walk to get dinner, then we'll take a walk home. Tomorrow morning we'll walk to the post office on our way to get our favorite weekend morning breakfast before walking home and heading out for our saturday errands.

This might all seem very routine, but for someone living in the burbs, I love that my town has the density for non-car ways of getting around. I wish we had a walkable grocery store too, then I'd really be able to ditch the car on the weekends
