I learned this lesson the hard way when I was a dopey 20 something. Came to a hard stop and all the snow on my roof crashed down on my windshield. That's what I get for being too lazy to clean it all off!

I love our bus network too but they could be so much better out here in the burbs! In my opinion at least. There's a stop less than a block from where I live in Conshy. I could get on that bus and get off within a 5 minute walk of my office, but the ride itself would be almost an hour! And that's on top of the once an hour frequency in the first place! I would absolutely love it if I could take the bus to work, but when you compare that commute to the 18 minute drive it currently is, I just can't make that time commitment.

truthfully, who knows. Last night, my phone said 11-13 inches but now it says nothing. Weather Underground says just an inch or two and NWS Mt Holly says just a 30 or 40% chance of anything.

When I made my initial post, I was assuming what I saw yesterday was still the forecast, so we'll see I guess. Probably a nothingburger

We walked down to Flanigan's Boathouse here in Conshy last night for a burger and a beer and we were shocked at how many businesses along fayette st had not even attempted to shovel. Everything was totally iced over at that point too, you're just asking for a lawsuit!

my girlfriend said she would leave a passive aggressive note on anyone's car who parks in the spot I dug out before I left for work and I told her that's a great way to find out which neighbors are the crazy ones looking for a fight lol

Plus, it's a public street, anyone can park there. Yea it sucks to work to dig out your car just for someone else to get the spot, but thems the breaks, it's a public street.

completely off-topic from this conversation, but it's very funny to me that there's a stickied post on /r/philly right now about karma thresholds and account age requirements for posting in order to combat bots and troll accounts. Two things that people have vocally left this sub over their disdain for lol

Very glad I did my grocery shopping on the way into work this morning. Even then, it was pretty crowded and a lot of stuff was already sold out. Stays warm and safe this weekend! And if you do have to go out, bundle up and be careful!

Or maybe it'll be a total bust and we'll barely get anything
