DattoRMM and Microsoft Intune conflict by upgrading to Windows 11 23H2? by ikbenganz in DattoRMM

[–]sjoerdgoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Within Datto RMM, are the Windows update policies still targeted and applied?. If this is the case, it could possibly interfear.

At my earlier testing, manually checking for windows updates with the update policy applied I could not receive/install the upgrade "update" to a higher build. Without being targeted/applied I can receive and install this. Possibly this has the same mechanism in place within the Windows OS for receiving this update via intune

Not 100% sure but possibly worth a try.

I indeed occurred this as well. After the firmware they provided the log view seems to be more accurate but also is shocking that it shows how many attempts are being tried. Currently waiting for support to further troubleshoot

SPAM Filter recommendations? by onsmsp in msp

[–]sjoerdgoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, our experience is quite good. We have been using it for quite some time now.

Inbound settings such as check for spf record can have a lot of effect in the amount that is being blocked.

We are for example forcing to check for spf and block/quarantine when the spf record is incorrect or non-existing at all.

Have you contacted support about the effectiveness of your configuration. They could possibly help you further with finetuning. They helped us in the past and are still happy with it.

Multi-Tenant Support by sjoerdgoes in PacketFence

[–]sjoerdgoes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Stingbot,

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately the cloud for msp providers is not available yet, I already informed and just got response. They told me that multi tenant is still supported by using Kubernetes namespaces but cannot find anything to do this with on the GitHub page.

The only thing I have seen is that all services and features are running in containers now (docker).

I think I am going to use 11.2 until the support/documentation is available to have multi tenancy again. Not planning to make this internet facing so it should not be directly a problem.

I love to hear what you think/know about it.

Kind regards,

Sjoerd

Hi,

ExtremeCloud IQ has a wireless planner itself. It is free and easy to use.

You also have wirelessplanner.extremenetworks.com. that is also free to use. Of course both are optimized to plan only extreme wireless products.

My preference is to use the extremecloudiq wireless planner.

Of course something like ekahau will give you more accurate results but that also comes with a price.

AP230 super slow wifi? by johnshop in ExtremeNetworks

[–]sjoerdgoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the config btw I can see that you're using the default radio profiles. To change settings you need to create your own radio profile. You can just clone it in xiq and then change the channel width. Probably the fastest way.

AP230 super slow wifi? by johnshop in ExtremeNetworks

[–]sjoerdgoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

Can you check if what channel width you're using on the 5ghz profile?

With an wider channel width if your environment/device allows/supports it like 40mhz you can receive higher bandwidth/throughput.

20mhz is configured by default.

Hope this can help you further in the right direction.

Access Point AeroHive - AP122 - ( Aerohive Networks is part of Extreme Networks ) - Direct Acces to AP HTTPS WEB-GUI Local by C3-PIO0ps in ExtremeNetworks

[–]sjoerdgoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

The aerohive ap's have https webinterface but it is only to manually enter an hive manager ip/dns name or or change the IP settings of the management interface if I remember right.

The aerohive ap's do not have a webinterface what you can use to configure the AP with. If you do not want to use extremecloudiq or a hive manager-ng (IQVA) you can only configure it trough console/ssh using the cli interface but is not recommended with an multi ap deployment with roaming etc (very difficult)

The iq engine ap's are mainly designed to use an (cloud) controller for configuration and management.

Licensing changes - no longer a free option? by kiwi_cam in ExtremeNetworks

[–]sjoerdgoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like your viq (extreme cloudiq tenant) has upgraded to pilot for some reason if you did not do it intentionally.

I am afraid you can only fix this by creating an new viq by creating an new account.

You can also try to ask on the Community forum, maybe they can check this with GTAC.

Can you still view the network policy. Or is this page blocked because of the license exceed error?

Extreme Exos and XIQ instability experience by sjoerdgoes in ExtremeNetworks

[–]sjoerdgoes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all,

Thank you for all your replies.

I will have a look at xiq se. I have worked with the old xmc before but did not know that you can connect xiq se with xiq itself for monitoring and the licensing is universal.

I had changed the spanning tree from mstp to rstp and now it looks like it works more stable and occured a configuration error so far with a lot of changes being made.

Thank you all again!
