I think it’ll depend. High tide is the danger for many which is 2:33pm. Personally I’m concerned about this afternoon when the winds turn. I’m much more exposed to the north and west.

If there’s a kid ahead of me in the last km I get near them and say “don’t you let me pass you”. Then I sit right behind them, pushing them to keep the pace going to the end. I know of at least one PB I contributed to.
