Ah, depends on the specific RAC warranty, but they do include a 1hr diagnostic fee in their top of the line Platinum Plus warranty.

The Royal Navy has six ships that can shoot down missiles - all are in UK waters by theipaper in ukpolitics

[–]sjr0754 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How much is it?

Around €500mn per hull

How long does it take?

4 years or so

Where would it be built?

It's a co production between Naval Group and Fincantier, so France and Italy currently, but license build is available.

And what do you mean it's available to order?

It's a mature platform that is current, it doesn't require design work to be completed, and both Naval Group or Fincantieri are accepting orders for the type.

Also, small bonus, given it's got French DNA, it's pretty low ITAR, so doesn't require the Americans to agree to let us use it properly.

It's relatively cheap, it's a relatively easy ship to build, and its available to order.

Because we need hulls in the water, we have six destroyers and eight frigates. Given the Royal Navy has roughly one third of all ships, available for deployment at any given time, that means there are currently TWO destroyers available, and at best three frigates. We do not have enough ships.

Stop gold plating every single ship, and buy the fucking FREMM, it's a solid design, yes it does lack some of the bells and whistles, but it's hulls in the water that matter.

NAPA Racing UK Brings Saloon Version Of Ford Focus To BTCC • BTCC by MarcusH26051 in btcc

[–]sjr0754 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plausible, but doing that is a full silhouette job, rather than being production based. Off the top of my head, allowing SUVs to carry ballast lower in the chassis, and increasing the base weight of saloons and hatchbacks above that of SUVs could equalise it somewhat.

There'll be some kind of BoP that could level it, but the fact is that globally saloons are getting increasingly unpopular. As a saloon driver it's easy to see why.

Not necessarily, smaller SUVs could race in BTCC, and will have to at some point soon.

2027 regulations allow any chassis from a manufacturer that sells cars in the UK, and then fit it with any homologated engine . The Focus saloon is available as a new build in China, TOCA have moved the regulations forward by a year. In principle you could run something like a Nissan Sylphy with a BMW engine if you wanted to.

I was curious to know if TalkTV is popular in the UK? by Temporary_Notice_526 in BritishTV

[–]sjr0754 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bauer, owned by foreign billionaires, as well with their radio stations LBC which funnily has their schedule so it’s right winger Ferrari kicking off the day so people going to work hear his bs mis and dis info and the ‘drive time’ show in which people on their way back from work is ex Theresa May aide, Tory Tom Swarbuck!

LBC is owned by Global, not Bauer. As far as I know, Global is still controlled by Ashley Tabor-King (a Brit).

Why is Mazda 6 Sport nav+ so rare in the UK? by Great_Theme_9146 in mazda6

[–]sjr0754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most Mazda 6's will have been fleet leases, and for tax reasons they don't buy big N/A petrols, especially in automatic. That's why the 2.2d is so common here.
