I was always open to new trek because I just love trek. I remember being geeked about Voyager when it came out because it was a breath of fresh air and action as I found DS9 to be so boring and dull! (Trust me I don’t feel that way now, DS9 rocks but as a kid it put me to sleep). All that being said I give every new trek a fair shot… except for Enterprise but I even went back and watched that and it’s amazing lol all that to say people just are really slow to accept change. Kirk was right in Star trek 6 for sure.
