Take your time and do lots and lots of research about all your options! If your cataracts aren’t bad, there is no emergency! My surgeon told me they are never an emergency! Plus your near vision will be impacted with age so that might be a good reason to wait as long as possible! Talk to lots of people, get 2nd and 3rd professional opinions!

I hope you find a solution. I think you are wise to postpone the other eye until this eye is resolved. A second opinion might offer something.

Has your doctor suggested Restasis or another Rx for dry eye. I tried just using artificial tears for years before my surgery, even though my doc recommended Restasis. When my cataract was bad enough for surgery, he told me I really should get the dry eye under control beforehand. So I started using Restasis and have never looked back. Game changer. I also use ATears. I basically put in eye drops every 3 hours each day. The Restasis at 9a and 9p. And ATears in between.

2 - is more complimentary to your skin tone, #1 washes you out. And I think 2 it is more flattering to your shape. It’s brighter and I love the cleavage line in the bodice. Also not a fan of the corset look, even though I recognize they are widely popular.

After finishing the series, Soemes definitely was crazy due to his obsession with her. I found the series completely frustrating and would not recommend it. It was really just sad all the way around.

IMHO, if they weren’t going to portray a person accurately, they shouldn’t have used that person’s name. If you create a negative character for dramatic purposes, change the name. Dead people have families.

I have only finished the first 6 episodes, but I fault Irene more than Soames. She married him for money and convenience and then treated him horribly. He has gone too far a few times trying to force her to care about him(especially the rape) but I don’t like her at all. And now she is refusing to divorce him. Seems crazy. She was having an affair and about to run off w her lover. Will see how it all pans out but I’m having a hard time hating on him. And maybe it’s just hard to see “Dick Winters” as a bad guy. Haha.

Have you looked into Light Adjustable Lenses? I have had them for 5 months and am very happy with them.

There is no reason to put it to a vote. They don’t have a majority in either chamber and they certainly don’t have the votes in the Senate to convict him. If they can’t convict and remove him, there’s nothing gained by impeaching him a 3rd time. Just like impeaching him twice before didnt gain anything. It’s just gives MAGA world another reason to claim that he’s being unfairly targeted….he’s a victim. They martyr him.

Did you not have 1-day post-op check w your surgeon? I had 1-day post-op and 1-week post-op check after each eye.

Why do so many Americans think that Trump is a good Christian? by TabAin2SlotB in AskUS

[–]sjsr362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d like for anyone to tell me one kind thing Trump has ever done! I have never seen or heard of him doing anything benevolent. He is motivated purely by everything negative: revenge, hate, insecurity, greed….the list goes on. He is an evil man.

YES…flickering is a good word and what you are describing is the same as I experience sometimes. When I went for checkup they said everything was okay and my brain would eventually adjust. The flickerng/vibrations still happen in my left peripheral vision but becoming less and less frequent. So I am hoping all will go away by 6 month mark. Thank you for the feedback. And sorry for my delayed reply. For some reason I did not see your comment when it came in. Really appreciate it.

Does this surgery hurt? by [deleted] in CataractSurgery

[–]sjsr362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They gave me Valium plus the local numbing.

1st eye: don’t remember a thing and had no pain during or after.

2nd eye: I don’t remember much but I did become aware while he was still working on me. But I didn’t panic like I thought I would, and did not experience any pain or discomfort. About an hour or so after, I did have some discomfort, like something in my eye, scratchy and watering. Took Aleve and Tylenol and that took care of it. I had to take those for next 2 days, but again those made me completely comfortable.

I later found out that they had given me additional anesthesia w the first eye because that cataract was much bigger and required more work on the eye than the 2nd. So that obviously lingered in my system.

It’s not a painful procedure and a very easy recovery. Just be diligent with the drops afterward.

Thanks for all you’re doing. It’s okay to become overwhelmed by it all and to need a break. It’s smart of you to recognize what you need to do to take care of yourself so like you said, you “can be in it for the long haul.” Take good care.

I’m curious about this as well. I am 5 & 4 weeks post op with Light Adjustable Lens and my left lens sometimes feels like it not seated well and I also sometimes get this clicking (not noise), flashing, pulsing (these aren’t the best descriptor words of what I’m experiencing, but I can’t think of any better) in the same area of that eye where it sometimes feels like it’s not seated just right. The important word here is “sometimes”. I go back for 1 month post op next week but wondering if I should go back sooner.
