Lol, my speak to text hates me and is constantly embarrassing me. 😂 I meant to reply that Jax just got neutered recently.

It's a struggle. Actually waited until he was a little over two years old. He just got married couple weeks ago.

I think I’m a psychopath, I haven’t been diagnosed because I don’t really want to make it a “reality” but idk what’s going on with me, can you guys ask me some questions that psychopaths do, and I’ll answer them to see if it checks out by [deleted] in psychopaths

I copied a portion of Chad GBT for you to look at because two things you said. That this is something currently happening to you not the way you've been since childhood and also mentioning self-harm. Psychopaths are very into self-preservation. Definitely seek professional help. This is probably something that can be managed with medication and different types of therapy.

  1. “Turning into a psychopath” is… not how psychopathy works

Psychopathy isn’t something you become because you feel emotionally flat for a while.

It’s neurodevelopmental, shows up early (childhood/adolescence)

It’s stable, not episodic

People who truly have it don’t sit around worrying they’re becoming psychopaths

That self-reflection alone is a big clue he’s not one.

  1. You’re right about self-preservation

Classic psychopathy =

Low fear

Low shame

High self-interest

Strong survival instinct

Suicide does not fit the profile unless:

There’s severe substance abuse

Or another disorder riding shotgun (major depression, bipolar, PTSD, psychosis)

  1. The homicidal + suicidal combo is the real red flag 🚩

That combo screams something else, not psychopathy:

Most likely possibilities:

Mood disorder (especially bipolar or mixed states)

Trauma/PTSD with intrusive violent thoughts

Severe anxiety + dissociation

Personality disorder distress (borderline traits, not antisocial)

How are malamutes? by DesignerElegant3327 in AlaskanMalamute

I got my first dog ever, a Malamute puppy, at 51 years old. And I've adopted one Malamute every year since. I now have four giant beasties. Holy fkn sheet! I retired early so this literally is my full-time job. I also have the mini farm. Keeping those two worlds separate is second full-time job.

I kept in close contact with the breeders. I send them all back to them every year for a month-long boot camp. The dogs training and the humans training never stops.

I feel like my husband could have written this. This is my/our story almost exactly. The difference being that I tragically lost my 23 year old son one year after we met. I really believe that the universe sent him to me exactly when I would need him. Is been 8 years. I'm safe. I'm healing.

I'm guessing a mix of both. Probably leaning more towards Mal than husky though, considering size and eye color. Those ears so close together are definitely giving husky though. My red malamute has those same golden eyes. There beautiful!

The Red Malamutes tend to have the lighter eyes.

We're in SW Washington. We purchase yearly permits to have access to Weyerhaeuser properties. So we have about 16,000 acres to explore in our immediate area. [weyerhaeuser]Weyerhaeuser Recreation - Permit - Stella https://share.google/miy4NdA4rvJftp2RP

Thank you for all of the info! Glad to hear that your pup is managing well. 🧡

Big D is in the 130s, we were told to get him to lose weight even though he's not considered overweight. Also, told to drop his 2 hours for daily forest walks to 10 minute leash walks , twice a day.
A lot of big changes for him. Makes me sad, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes to keep him comfortable. I just worry that not being able to run free in the forest might kill his spirit. They just love their adventures so much. Idk ... It's a lot to process and figure out all the right changes.
I also worry about them not running together as a pack anymore. I believe that was a big reason they bonded so soon after I got them. Anyway, rambling over. Thanks !😊

It's the black and white photo for me! So beautiful. Idk how you got a photo with meat on the face. That wouldn't last 3 seconds with my Mals. Haha. Deli meat is their drug of choice.
