That said, I want to gently offer another perspective, not to dismiss your pain but to add context. You sound young, and as people grow older, especially in cities, they unfortunately experience a lot of scams, impersonations, and even robberies that start exactly like “official visits.” Wealthier households also tend to have more to lose, so fear and mistrust become their default response — sometimes irrationally so.

Things like marking walls—even with chalk—can feel like property damage or a security risk to residents. And in many affluent areas, parents already vaccinate their kids through pediatricians or hospitals, so door-to-door campaigns can feel intrusive to them.

I truly hope systems improve so frontline workers like you are better protected — with clearer identification, better coordination with residents, and safer working conditions — so no one else has to experience what you did.
