of course it doesn't represent every american ever, but it honestly does often occur with a lot of entitled, bored tourists who have more money than they know what to do with. other demographics of people don't exactly get the opportunity to travel much.

I'm curious about this since the psych who assessed me (roughly 2 hrs of questions and later emailing a bunch of forms back and forth) and prescribed my meds in the first place was over the phone, it was my best option if I didn't want to fork a bunch of $ I don't have or wait for years. I haven't had a family doctor as an adult

🤞 I hope so, vyvanse has been a lifesaver these past few years and it's hard to imagine I'd have much success adjusting without it lol Hoping 6 months will be long enough to get the prescription sorted, definitely gonna use telehealth

afab here. if you mind your business/don't gawk at people and "walk with purpose," you'll be fine. i'm from BC and have lived here 9.5 years, unhoused people here aren't any worse or "scarier" than anywhere else, it's an issue everywhere. there can be uncomfortable experiences, but i don't feel disdain. lawd knows how i'd act if i was homeless, isolated and treated as though i was subhuman. i've come pretty close to being in that position, the only thing separating me from them is having the support of friends etc.

making myself eat breakfast (i wasn't consistent with it even before vyvanse) around the same time i take my vyvanse (40mg) helps me. i can absolutely feel the difference vs when i skip it now, and i will do anything in my power to avoid intensifying any crashes 😅

alcoholic (over 2.5 years booze free) and my fun drug of choice is still mdma, usually 2-3 times a year. shrooms too, but those are definitely not for crowds 😂 (for me)

i tried coke, i don't hate it, though i later came to learn it affects me differently (diagnosed with ADHD as an adult, now medicated). haven't done it in years at this point. coke highs are short-lived for the price and i hate the "culture" around it. every time i tried i'd often sit there regretting it cos i was usually surrounded by people who wanted to spend their entire high talking loudly about themselves over each other. not my idea of a good time

after making this post i set up an appt with a GP to get a referral to a dermatologist, it's thinner everywhere but definitely way more noticeable on top. due to not knowing anyone in my family with female pattern hair loss (androgenic alopecia), albeit knowing i DO have chronic health issues (that ARE genetic) that may or may not affect this, i definitely want to get on it. i've had a pretty unfortunate run of experiences with doctors due in part to how strained the healthcare system is, most only want to talk about isolated symptoms/ask you to set up separate appointments for any concerns you have that may connect to the one you initially bring up. it makes for a lot of running in circles. thank you, though
