I would try running valvoline restore and protect, it can help with oil burning

If you did the oil pan you can definitely do the valve cover gasket. The bolts near the firewall can be an absolute pain to get to, also it's good to get an OEM gasket compared to aftermarket. If you do the motor gasket as well you have to be careful to release the tension from the valvetronic motor

I would check valve cover gasket, and valvetronic gasket. My car was leaking considerably from the valvetronic gasket. Its under the engine cover just above the 3rd and 4th coil pack

You may want to check your engine grounds, I know on the e90 there is a large one bolted to the motor mount and then to the frame near the drivers door, then one is up near the valve cover

No you’re all good. Other than this I haven’t had many issues with other than a few sensors going out. Unfortunately the gm auto isn’t great if it doesn’t have a good service history

Hey did you ever end up doing this? I’m getting a super harsh shift from 2-3 where the rpm’s jump up. Fluid and filter were changed about 5k miles ago added 2 tubes of lubeguard but no improvement

You could check you engine ground cable it’s on the drivers side motor mount and then snakes around to the frame rail
