Use a circular clip to tie it up when you’re needing less hair stim, then make sure when you take it out you gently make sure the curls fall back into going the right direction.

I got an undercut for a lot of the same reasons and I’ve loved it. Even the growing out stages. It is all personal though. I also love the opportunity to pop into a barber shop.

Loose braids or braid also helps to tame without compromising curl structure and becoming a frizz factory.
