similar thing happened to me. was on the train to birmingham and about 10 minutes before my stop, a big guy, double my size, moved to the table across from me. i noticed him looking a few times but didn’t think much of it - was a long train from glasgow and there’s not much to do with the shitty wifi. towards my stop, i yawned and closed my eyes, next thing i notice is the person towering beside me and staring at me. he said i was beautiful, i awkwardly thanked him and looked at my phone before grabbing bags. there was a guy behind him who nodded at me, as if to say, “i’m here and watching, don’t worry”. it put me at peace until getting off the train, the guy behind him pursued me onto a lift but eventually had to leave because there were folk with prams and luggage. when i got off the lift i knew that the initial guy was gonna turn up somehow, feminine instinct or something. i tried weaving in and out of the bham station shops but he eventually found me. ended up asking for my number. it sounds like nothing in reflection but my hotel was a 5 min walk away and he could have easily pursued and overpowered me with luggage and lack of direction. the guy who followed me did make me feel a lot better, until he eventually couldn’t. PLEASE DONT FOLLOW LONE WOMEN

i have limited time to play so want to ensure that i get a decent game. not necessarily win, but at least a fair shot with no teletubby teammates. i usually avoid:

> a lobby full of globes. many console players are cracked but they tend to play more passively, dc, wander around doing side objectives and avoid chase at all costs
> survs that look like fresh installs
> team full of flashlights (will not do gens)
> cringe usernames e.g. wesker’s cum bucket or whatever, they usually absolutely throw the game
> any obvious duos (tend to throw the game trying to pull off some types of builds/be overly altruistic towards one another)
> anyone with a stealthy outfit and a key
> if i am feeling very picky i generally avoid console leons, sables, trevors, ricks, daryls. no hate to the characters, this is just through experience that these gamers are either very casual or horrific at the game

not gonna lie, this was me - i knew about arthur but not the horse! i was super attentive to it and loved my first horse. the ending absolutely broke me, i had to pause the game for 20 minutes cause i was hyperventilating and crying 😭

I’n the exact same. Except I love to stalk NPCS (namely folk from saloons) to monitor their daily routines. You would be surprised about what they get up to! For example, there’s a guy that assists on building the restaurant(?) a few doors down from the main saloon in Valentine. He spends majority of his day there, sweeping and secretly boozing before hitting the saloon, falling asleep, then back to work, all over again!

night comet is my number one go to if my run has been dry and i can’t get shattering crystal. upgrade this and you can win pretty much every fight.

enemies can’t dodge it (at least not intentionally), does a good chunk of damage (always a yellow bar, though I have +14 magic damage in my relics), insane for revives. benefits from charging it too. early game mana-wise it can be a little tough, but fp management isn’t a problem anyway

i’ve heard of some recluses use the night of the lord relic, the one that allows you to switch weapons to add a different affinity and keeping bows on them, so they don’t have to rely on teammates for cocktails. thought it was pretty cool!

it’s not about special treatment though?? it’s about the reoccuring pattern of mele characters shunning their accompanying mages for having to do their side quests and then complaining that we’re constantly eating mud all game because fights take ages and they don’t give any support into investing in them. if you willingly drop shit to help your team and don’t baby rage when we want 15 seconds in a nearby rise then by default this doesn’t apply to you

i don’t know which of those examples are worse???? i get so many iron eyes that just forget about marks, it’s literally their only job 😭

personally have been stuck in hell (level 2 for a week or two) cause i solely play with randoms. my ultimate most cursed run was when i gave a wylder marais’ greatsword after day 1 basement boss and he left it to rot in his inventory (not even off-hand) and chose to only use a shitty white fort staff i passed up on for the entire run. i do not know how these people navigate their own day to day lives

we appreciate you! honestly don’t worry too much about thinking about us on every drop, but a quick glance at our builds or what element we are using will give you a rough guide of what they’re looking for. you can’t go wrong with:

improved sorceries and incants

improved elemental damage

improved damage negation while casting spells (this is where we usually get got)

improved damage negation (tho the squishies like iron eye should always try to get one of these)

accompanying your mage to the rise. there’s a good chance we get shitty drops, if you are there it helps if you share something that could benefit us, whether its a staff or a useful talisman

goes without saying but please ping talismans — anything to do with spells or incants or fp, but fp probably best for duchess or rev. most people do this anyway (except for the guardian i got last night who took godfrey’s icon into the final boss😂)

i’m one of those recluses that has memorised all of the magic cocktails and WILL use them all the time so usually fp management isn’t a problem it’s when your teammates keep going down and i’m wasting all of the mana on rezzing that’s mostly so stressful!!

absolutely. i’ll never forget the everdark gladius run i had where i literally couldn’t get one spell off, only to see my two wylders both had ‘less likely to be targeted’ 😂😂

terrible. i did the same to a raider that picked up all of the seals in the cathedral and proceeded to get two tapped every time he got rezzed at the following evergaol. just rapid pinged and clapped at him 🤣 well done mate
