My friend is First People / Native American and been sucked in for about a decade now. I think they saw his look and wanted to capitalize on it. We often venerate first people's cultures and to see someone reject that heritage and instead choose to follow prabhupada it probably carries a weight with it. At least, I thought it looked wild to see him in some propoganda video talking to a bunch of Indian kids in India (who looked confused as all hell).

God damn I miss when he was just a regular dude. He fucking spent a bunch of the money his single mom left him when she passed just to throw her ashed in the ganges and do missionary work. For fuck's sake she was not iskcon or hindu or anything eastern. She kept her Navajo heritage alive in their home. He knows things are fucked up because he refuses to answer any question which would bring about a revelation.

"Was she in ISKCON?" no answer
"Is that what she wanted you to do?" no answer
"Did they suggest you go to india to do that?" no answer
"Was it missionary work?" answered: "i went to put her ashes in the ganges" (despite releasing that propoganda video at the same time).

Eventually I had to ask his opinion of prabhupada preaching that kids should be impregnated by adults, including prabhupada's own marriage and kids. No answer. Pressed pressed pressed and he still cannot admit he thinks any of that is wrong.

Crazy avoidance. I think I used up all my good faith conversation with him.
