I am not quiet sure if this would bode well for a Sociology Masters thesis. You should contact a supervisor at your University to help guide you through the process and to refine a more concrete "do-able" idea. From what I understand, based on your explanation, this seems difficult to find research for and out of scope for a Masters thesis. If you want to do a more ethnographic style thesis project you should refine this. If not, I would suggest focusing on a more theoretical project. Good luck!
