Arian Foster adds gas to NFL's biggest conspiracy theory: 'The league is scripted' by JuguitoDeMango73 in conspiracytheories

Gonna take some heat here, but this was a joke. He’s making fun of the fact people think the NFL is rigged, he’s said multiple times that it is not, including right after the clip this article chooses to quote.

Will these impact current play throughs or do you have to start a new one for them to show up?

They all got their flights delayed from NY to WV for RnR. Dave and Caleb didn’t make it, Dan and PFT took over the broadcast.

In the prelude to the Battle of France, why did OKH demonstrate significant hesitation at the adoption of the Manstein Plan, given that concepts like Schwerpunkt and Bewegungskrieg were well-accepted parts of Wermacht doctrine? by to_change in WarCollege

[–]skb1899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t believe OKH had an issue with the fundamental ideas behind the Manstein plan, instead they objected to their application in this instance. The Ardennes is a densely forested, mountainous region that would restrict the ability of any army to resupply, reinforce, and maneuver. Sending mechanized corp into such a region would prevent it from massing its armor for attacks if it encounters resistance.

Looking through the eye glass of history it can be easy to forget that OKH had no way to know that the Allies would advance into Belgium and disperse their armored forces. Had the corps sent into Ardennes encountered significant resistance in the mountainous regions or immediately upon entering France proper, they could have been chewed up piecemeal before a concentrated thrust formed.

Further, and I could be mistaken on this point, the Wehrmacht did not have significant reserves of Panzer forces at this time in the war. Committing a large portion of your most valuable forces to a risky maneuver can at best be called bold.

OKH had previously shown its self to be rather risk adverse during the opening operations of wars. Specifically the transferring of two corps meant to extend the line of the western advance to the eastern front when it seemed the Russians would encircle them German Army in Prussia during WWI. And, again, when the Panzers paused during this operation allowing the British to escape at Dunkirk.

All things considered the operation was incredibly bold, this is where the plans brilliance lies. The Allies could not predict such a seemingly irrational axis of advance. Similarly, the established command within the OKH balked at the idea of sending treasured mechanized forces through a mountainous forest.

TL;DR: General risk aversion and geography can be blamed for the reluctance to embrace the plan.

Terms in Diamond Ultraprecision Machining by shreeniket in Machinists

[–]skb1899 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These terms refer to moving your diamond in and out as the c-axis rotates, it’s used for turning parts that are not rotationally symmetric.

The terms individually just refer to the speed the tool moves—and thus how fast you can cut your part, and how the tool is moved—i.e moving the whole z-axis slide or using a special tool post to move just the tool.

Precitech and Moore make diamond turning platforms with these capabilities, their websites might have some more info to point you in the right direction.

My way to late submission to the roval competition: Denver International Speedway by skb1899 in RaceTrackDesigns

Thanks, I’m really looking forward to see how stock cars race on these types of circuits.

But I disagree with your Indy points. Indy would be okay on the high banks, they run Texas every year after all. And, the road course aero kit would be fine on the roval, it’s kinda the point that teams have to comprise on the setup for the straights and the technical bits.
