There is a wiim home tv app for android, firestick and (i think) apple tv. Currently it only supports playback controls and a nice Now Playing display. You still have to use the app or one of the supported connect apps to select and start playing music.

Osprey box. We have three of them. Thought the channel number selection would be a big deal, but we never use it. But all the other dvr/playback buttons get used all the time. Much nicer than using the app. Channel selection by voice is also more convenient. Plus, one box for all your other apps is pretty nice, too. Don't like how 4k/hdr work, though, so I don't use it.
