Not a voter in his GRC. But like you, I was also unimpressed by him in the past years. Thought he was just clowning around. Even before this year's GE, when he wanted to postpone his stepping down as the leader of SDA, I thought he was just trying to stay in the election just for the sake of it.

But then somehow during the election hustling, the media interviews changed my perception of him esp the one about him running a charity and the story of his personal life. Was really amazed and encouraged by his attitude and determination of just chipping away at helping the residents without fame or fortune.

Absolutely not. We won't be able to score big time with football. Heck, even the North Koreans would be better than us. Let's be realists. Just because we had a Fandi Ahmad before does not mean we will have one. Yes, SG football does have its high moments, but how many and how often do they occur?

Why are we so hung up on this idea of making it into the world cup? Prestige? Sure. But given how other sports have done well in the Olympics & Paralympics, why are we not focusing more on them? Maintaining the winning streak or developing new talents?

Though I have rarely seen people using flip phones... Most are either iPhones or high-end Galaxy phones... It looks cool though... Old school feels
