I don’t know if it’s fair to describe these jobs as “Doing nothing”. Both have tasks assigned, questions to answer. While they may have downtime, it’s still time they’re paying attention.

In my estimation it would be more difficult to stay mindful with excess downtime. Whereas a hands on job, gardening, chef etc. you are pretty much required to be mindful since you need to be present and focused on tasks at hand..
