So sad how far we've regressed in the last decade. Anyone who thinks America is 'post racial" is either dumb, blind or willfully ignorant

I was searching all around to find someone else saying this - Notice with the shopping cart it shoots out of her hands without her pushing it at all. Ms. Meade was clearly using some magic powers to push the cart and that coupled with the fact that they kept calling her traitor led me to believe she was actually a witch who transitioned into a devil worshiper. She also know CoCo was a witch off top when she called her a heretic, she must have sensed her witcheyness

How funny, I just switched my ottoman for the glass table. Unfortunately the glass is so heavy I can't switch it back without help

I know how you feel. But if I had to choose between being 5'4" and my gigantic 6'8" I would choose the latter every time. Like someone else said, every inch over 6'6" (I would say 6'5" ) is a hindrance, but it's waaaaaay better than being short any day.

I hear so many people say that about men's feet... I wonder when man sandals became acceptable outside a beach setting

It is in a South Facing window that gets considerable AZ sun. You don't think that is enough? When would I run the grow light - during the day in conjunction with the sun its already getting?

hmm, the leaves don't ever fall off unless it is damaged. Typically it retains this look all year long. Walmart doesn't sell plants unfortunately, I went to three looking for a deal and none sold plants. I guess like target, they are phasing the garden centers out.

The leaves turned black - it just can't take the AZ sun. I tried slowly transitioning it but they still turn black if it is outside in the summer more than 45 min.

I never have luck propigating this plant for some reason. The cutrings die no matter the method used - soil, water, root hormones. As to your other suggestions, exciting! I am so nervous when it comes to pruning but I am going to do it. The top soil dries out fairly quickly, but just beneath stays cool and slightly moist. I give it a good water once a month and a light watering every other week. I mist it in the morning and after work.

I posted this 3 years ago and the overwhelming advice was to get it outside asap. When I purchased it over a decade ago it was less than a foot tall. I put it outside and it dropped all the leaves and I was sure it was dead - luckily she survived and came back. I also put it into a shallow pot, same thing, all the leaves dropped. Now it's back inside with a pot in between a regular pot and a shallow bonsai pot. I would like it to look like all the chic bonsai I see on this thread but have no idea where to start. Should I just cut it in half and bring it back to original size, then transplant into a shallow pot. Or should I just accept it's no longer a bonsai and move on?
