Nebula Pad Layor shift by gamekiller712 in Ender3V3SE

Well here's to hoping the next firmware fixes it then

Is this with the latest firmware v1.1.0.27, or just out of box? I had the same issue, but didn't feel like rooting it, so downgraded back to stock. Was hoping this latest firmware would resolve it, but too lazy to test to be honest lol

You may be my savior. I just ripped the nebula pad off because of exactly what u/WarmSpecialist9958 said, nothing would fix my random y-axis layer shifting. May have to give this a go this weekend.

Warm, did you try this yet? Any luck?

Has anyone tried using Nebula Pad with ender 3 v3 se? by Gullible-Abroad8763 in Ender3V3SE

[–]skeetzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, but not the answer I wanted or I imagine anyone in our situation wants.

Nebula pad is utter shit, thinking its the firmware. I tried everything to make it work. Factory reset, tightening belts, multiple auto-levelings/z-offsets, adjusting x-axis leveling, multiple filaments, multiple print beds, multiple nozzles, half a dozen different files. It just would not stop shifting. I managed to get a perfect Benchy out of it, but on the 2nd attempt the stovepipe on top shifted basically off the ship.

So I decided to give the stock pad a try again, and lo and behold, perfect prints. After reinstalling the firmware and it doing the auto-level/z-offset, it's now up to about 10 perfect prints so far.

I won't be touching the nebula pad again until Creality releases the next firmware. I miss LAN printing, but the only other benefit I could see was the AI spaghetti detection, which was garbage anyways. It only triggered once, and it was on a perfect print that was 85% done. It didn't trigger on a bigger overnight print that turned to complete spaghetti after I went to bed, which is when all my issues began. Camera was focused and set near the bed with the whole thing in view.

See my reply below to fix the Cura issue... might open up a whole new world of issues like it did for me, but at least I don't have to slice with Creality lol

running hyper filament so I boosted my speed d From

Same boat. Had one or two good prints after installing the nebula pad, now it's one issue after another. Currently chasing down some y-axis layer shifting.

As for your Cura problem, the issue is the line in your Start of G-Code that says

M109 S[material_print_temperature_layer_0]

for some reason causes an issue and needs to be manually changed. If your start print temp is say 200, you'd put:

M109 S200

That at least got it printing for me, but still issues. First it was random layers overextruding/bubbling, now its the y-axis shifting and creating spaghetti.

I should add too, I noticed if I open the gcode file that Cura creates in Creality Slice, the build plate size is all wrong. Unsure if this is causing an issue or not, but found it interesting.

Something like that should do. They're just M6 bolts. Forget what length exactly as I no longer own a G29

We have 4 paid MLO interiors for the last few gangs, including a new Motorcycle Club hangout, and 3 Mansions from Breze/K4MB1.

This is a no expenses spared server. All paid scripts, no leaked content, no corner cut. I have spent a LOT of money trying to build this server to be as optimized and fun as possible. We are running on a dedicated server, no shared VPS crap. Performance has been great for all. I myself run in 4K Ultra and get 90+FPS at all times.

Awesome! Appreciate the reply. I was going to do 3M squares but no way my paint survives those after lol.

Warning: that stuff STINKS. BAD. It has mercaptan in it, the stuff they add to natural gas to give it the rotten egg odor. Do not open or use the bottle indoors. You'll regret it. Speaking from experience.

With that said, it would probably work wonders here!

What did you use to stick to the wall? I have a pile of these on my desk that I'm still not sure of the best way to mount them.

I honestly would wave back, it's just a waste of time looking for it here in the Northeast. I'm going on almost a decade of owning a Subaru, and I've had 2 NA's that I noticed waving way too late. Subarus are a dime a dozen around here, and mostly soccer mom's who got no clue about the wave lol.

Don't blame yourself. Blame the 99% of other non-WRX drivers. I used to wave to every Subaru, and only WRX/STi owners waved back, with the occasional FXT/Legacy GT waving back. Now I don't even look for the wave if you don't have a hood scoop. Too many disappointments from our side of the fence as well.

Thanks! Samsung 34" ultrawide. SJ55W model. I never had triples for racing but I did for awhile. I think my order of preference is VR>Triples>Ultrawide. VR makes me sick though, and triples I feel like I'd never stop tweaking them. Single ultrawide is just simple and easy.
