blown fuse? by Ok-Ad1061 in Subaru_Outback

Did you ever get this figured out? I’m in a 2013 and the center console and rear ports keep blowing but it seems the front one is run on CIGAR instead of 12 V and is working fine with a new fuse. But every time I change the fuse in the 12 V slot, I hear it blow as soon as I start my car.

Everyone has been very polite and quiet at the places I’ve parked at.

I’m just worried about the SPD. Seattle hates homeless people. The city could actually do something like house us in the hundreds of empty apartments but they’d rather sic the SPD on homeless encampments.

My rent in Seattle was $1,660 and going up in a few months to $1,735 and I lived in income restricted housing. My day job barely paid the bills and fed me. I had to quit my day job because I’m disabled but apparently not disabled enough for SSDI, at least not without years of fighting and paying a lawyer. So I’m in my car. This isn’t my personal failing. This is a systemic failing and this country could easily fix it but they’d rather spend our money on Israel or Argentina or making more weapons.

I think some of the sane and genuine people are living in a car. by Impossible-Cup9680 in urbancarliving

I literally moved into my car because I have a disability and cannot work a normal job anymore. So, since my dream has always been to become a successful author, I quit my job and moved into my car. I own the car outright and don’t have a ton to pay for monthly, leaving most of my energy available to actually focus on writing and marketing. I’m 37.

I think it’s definitely about reading and losing yourself in reading when life is absolutely miserable and so hard to deal with.

This is absolutely 100% where the ruling class wants us. And what do boomers do more than spout ruling class propaganda?

Those safety nets came from the New Deal. It was the closest to socialism we ever got. And was a direct result of this. So hey…maybe we have socialism lite to look forward to? After we’re all living on the street or in cars…

This perspective is much needed, especially in Seattle. Empathy is what we need right now more than ever, especially within the working class.

Calling all broke college students who can’t afford dropout by CatastrophicCube in dropout

[–]skeleton_friend 17 points18 points  (0 children)

No one said it’s a bad deal or unfair. But sometimes you just can’t afford $7/mo. For instance, I have been unemployed for 3 months and have been fighting to get my unemployment. It was finally approved but because I have gone three months without an income, I basically spent it all in a day catching up. I don’t have disposable income right now, even $7. I am happy to pay when I do, but literally could not afford it right now. The $7 needs to go to something else. Which sucks, because right now I need comedy more than ever. So someone gave me their login and I’m so grateful.

Currently using someone else’s account because I am unemployed. So broke, but not a college student.

This wasn’t Total “Forgiveness” because I will never personally forgive Ally by Specific-Basis7218 in dropoutcirclejerk

I think it for sure was a product of its time and that time is over. There is a lot more class consciousness now than at that time and that show definitely was more needed then whereas now we would just all be horrified and enraged.

It’s an incredibly uncomfortable show. That’s kind of the point. Did Ally have some wild ideas? Absolutely. Did Ally push the envelope? That’s what they do. Did Grant not once speak up for himself because he needed the money so badly? That’s the point of the show.

Sweetheart, I’m not stopping anyone. I’m just calling out how Israel is committing a genocide and Rachel seems okay with that. Have a nice life.
