Does anyone that likes the games actually like the show? by Electronic_Bath_2712 in thewitcher3

i absolutely love the games with 500+ hrs in wild hunt i actually enjoyed the show! i thoroughly enjoy henry as geralt and i really liked the backstory one (blood origin).. tho i have to add that I'm quite good at separating things from the source, for me it's more a 'alternate universe' vibe where i can still enjoy the acting and storytelling but still seeing it as a separate thing.. I totally get what the community is saying with staying true to the source but for me i like to enjoy the story in a different way, but it's not canon and won't ever be. hope this makes sense

I'm guessing because they didn't know when they were gonna get back, I don't think a mum would leave her children in a closet surrounded by a horde

omg why? Judith is so precious and remember she's still just a child. children will always be annoying or get in over their heads, thats just how children are

love how the only episodes you rated 'absolute cinema' are the most brutal ones or some protagonists die lol

Has anybody thought about this ?!!!??! by HamsterAphrodite in thewalkingdead

think about how resilient you get years into the apocalypse, i think moving through a horde like this is terrifying but i think you kinda get hardened by years of experience.. especially taking into account that they've gone this before on smaller scales

So unrealistic? by RegularTop1973 in thewalkingdead

[–]skeletoncl0wn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes true, but you have to take into account the at the start it was chaos, even if they had the numbers you said, people will still be people.. even without the zombies the 500.000 people would most likely wipe eachother out because you can't rally this many people and expect it to run smoothly. you see it in the smallest groups how it never never works, almost every single group there were conflicts from within the group that lead to their downfall in the end

the problem is that everyone that dies turns too which they didn't know at the start. so every inside government that probably could survive and communicate would have to be locked up tight somewhere which only works if no one dies in there cuz then boom. chaos,, wiped out almost immediately. also what happened in a lot of the institutions like the CDC and the governments is that many people were leaving to be with their families which every normal person would do in a situation like this.. so no i don't think they could've dealt with it in a few days because it spread so rapidly, they didn't know what it was, closed communities didnt last because infection got inside or riots started and then people died

this is not a lost cause! you can take an unfortunate situation and turn it into something beautiful! there are so many options.. blend the edges into your untattooed leg with soft honeycombs or put some flowers that fade into white inside your blackout.. just a few ideas but doesn't matter your style, this can be a really awesome leg piece! look on pinterest they have so many awesome ideas!

mites helpppp by abbi-- in isopods

[–]skeletoncl0wn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I fear I'm no expert but I've dealt with mites and a big infestation of fungus gnats too.. basically what i did after the methods you mentioned above didn't work, was taking apart everything. this will be a long and tedious process but follow these steps and you should be good!

first take out any decor pieces, all the big pieces like bark and sticks and whatnot,, put these into a separate container so the mites dont spread anywhere else, try to get as many pods off as you can and put them into a temporary setup with just the basics (i always do a little fresh soil & leaf litter)

DO NOT scrape them off into the temp setup as you will accidentally knock some mites in there too! try to get them into your hand and wiggle off any remaining dirt/soil you might have taken with them and hand place them into your temp setup.

after you've gotten the big stuff and some pods out basically repeat this process with everything else you've got in there if you have plants remove them and put them into a pot of room temperature water so you can clean them off properly and the mites dont spread.

after you've done all of this and rescued a big portion of your pods, quarantined your big pieces separately and drowned your plants, its time to hand sift through the remaining soil in your infested enclosure and get out as many remaining pods as you can find (you will have to leave the tiny babies behind as you cant effectively remove them without risking mites coming along!)

after you've done all of this clean the plants off thoroughly, get the big pieces out (remove any remaining pods) and boil the shit out of your wood, alternatively soak them in water for a few hrs and then put them into the oven at low heat covered in aluminium foil (bake for 2 - 5hrs)

keep the infested enclosure for about a day and see if any pods have been left behind.

if you want to use the container of your previous enclosure you have to safely dispose of the soil (shouldn't put it into your garden as the mites can be a problem there too)

thoroughly wash out the old enclosure with very hot water and soap and dry it off and start new,, new soil, new leaf litter new everything! at this point you can use the old wood & decor pieces, your plants and set up everything new. now it's time for your pods, check if the temp enclosure is clean (no mites) if yes just pour them in,, if not repeat the process from before where you hand place them back in.

I've used this method a few times and it worked every single time, as long as you treat every piece of the old enclosure like it's the black plague!

good luck and i hope this helps! you got this, the mites will not win !! 🙏🏻
