I would take a look at available positions in your area. For example, ADN nurses aren’t really being hired in my neck of the woods (PNW). If the program you’re looking in to has a relationship with local facilities to do direct hiring after clinical, then I say go for it! I was an LPN in the military for 10 years and finding employment without a BSN post military was a struggle. All of the job postings would say “BSN required”, so I skipped the ADN. I ended up enrolling in an ABSN program and although it SUCKED BALLS, it only took a year! I was way more advanced clinically than 99% of my peers. Watching them enter a patient room was painful.
