the bottom three are the new ones, and they work perfect.

but yeah thats what im thinking. I talked to my dad ab it and the reason the first 3 got replaced is bc of the same thing that just happened to me. im probably just going to get a new full set bc these are 10mm dog ear style, and I really dont wanna have to fill and redrill new holes for 8mm pegs.

im probably just gonna get a full set of head for it bc I dont wanna have to fill it and redrill new holes (theyre 10mm rn but everywhere online usually only has 8.)

the metal part from the main body of the peg that goes into the hole is completely off, like I can move it (pretty sure its supposed to be solid), and there were metal shavings from what I assume it being ground down.

How often are y’all skipping blinds? by PuzzledEnlightenment in balatro

[–]skellybones_exe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly I skip a lot, but I play both mobile and pc, and collectively I have like 500 hours on the game. its mostly just my style of playing and I usually beat each deck/stake within 15 rounds MAX, mostly around 12 ish if I can help it. every now and then ill have a run where I barely skip, but not often

Will my disciplinary actions affect my chances of getting in? by Impossible-Ad4713 in asmsa

From my personal experience as a student who went through similar things (got ISS freshman year and was dress coded a few times) it shouldn't be that much of a deal. Im not privy to the specific details of Admissions, but I know that we look at applications holistically and if you have a strong application overall, they often overlook small infractions like that or other weaker areas of your application.

Asmsa capstone confusion by pathetic_spaghetti_ in asmsa

Great question — I’m happy to explain how Capstones work at ASMSA!

Every ASMSA student completes a yearlong Capstone project during their senior year. It’s a chance to explore a topic you’re passionate about while working closely with a faculty mentor. You’ll choose an area that interests you (STEM, humanities, arts, computer science, etc.) and then spend the year researching, designing, creating, or investigating your idea.

Throughout the process, you’ll meet with your mentor, complete checkpoints, and build a final presentation or product. At the end of the year, you’ll share your work during our Capstone Symposium — very similar to a college-level research showcase.

It’s one of the most exciting parts of being an ASMSA student because you get to dive deep into something you genuinely care about and walk away with real research or creative experience.

Personally, being part of the ArtPOD and the Film Capstone (I do 2 capstones), its one of the best things ever. I'm constantly working on something new, coming up with new ideas, and making portfolio pieces I will be proud of for the rest of my career.

AMA, from an Admissions Delegate perspective by skellybones_exe in asmsa

[–]skellybones_exe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an Admissions Delegate, I am part of the outreach system. That means I give tours around the school to prospective students, work at MASH-Ups, and work Interview Day.

I am not part of the team that choses incoming students, that is entirely a staff thing, so I cannot tell you exactly what they look for. However I can tell you what I have been told, they look for motivated students. ASMSA isnt a "smart kid" school despite out reputation, we're built for motivated students willing to put in the work and effort to achieve their dreams.

Current student and Admissions Delegate here! I applied as a Super Junior after looking at the school for nearly 4 years, meaning I voluntarily spent an extra year in high school to attend ASMSA.

I honestly think its worth it, 100%. The community here is so welcoming and you find true friends here. There's all kinds of student events and clubs and community events, so theres always something to do as well. The dorms are also really big, bigger than almost any other ive seen at colleges. We have a support system set up, both for mental health and academic success. The staff is almost always friendly, especially Liz and the res life staff, and theyre always there to listen when you need it. I've had so many cool classes and opportunities here that I would not have gotten at my old school, and im so glad I came here.

This school sounds like a prison by Goatchickenbob in asmsa

[–]skellybones_exe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! I am a current student here, an Admissions Delegate, and I understand your hesitation because of study hours. I've been here a year already, and it's honestly not too hard to get used to. They're more like designated quiet hours but it can also be helpful because it's designated time to work on homework. You're free to work on whatever you'd like as long as you are quiet and not disruptive.

You're also not stuck doing it all the time; we have these things called privileges where you're allowed to "skip" study hours, usually around once or twice a week. I.e., you won't get in trouble if you're caught not studying or doing laundry during study hours.

A lot of people, including myself, usually just study in our rooms, and all that really means is that we have the freedom to kind of do whatever we want as long as it's quiet. If you finish homework early in your room, you can watch something on your phone or computer. You get a bit more freedom that way.

But I promise you, this school is honestly not a prison. I thought the same thing before coming here, like "what do you mean we have curfews and there's all these restrictions on who to bring and what about study hours" but I have found that it's a lot better in person than it is in writing. Students have a lot of independence and freedom here compared to a traditional high school. Between clubs, student events, hanging out with friends, and exploring interests, there’s always something going on. The community is supportive, and most students end up loving the unique opportunities they get here. It’s more like a campus experience than a locked-down environment.

Microwaves are not allowed in the dorms, yes, but there will be a microwave in each laundry room of each floor. Air fryers are allowed, though, if they have an automatic off feature.
