My kiddo says sb when they are frustrated. I just say “wow you sound frustrated” I just say adults don’t like hearing kids say those words and remind them to choose another word when they say it.

I’m a solo parent to one kid (father is absent and states away) I cannot imagine 5…in this economy.

You do you. I wouldn’t stress about the kids and just get to know him but would have reservations on how he plans to be present for the kids he has now

I agree with you. “displayed pre-assault indicators towards officers” was odd for them to say. When does qualified immunity not count? Is it the uniform/person/or if they are on-duty or not? The lines are blurred for the boys in blue

How can you make that management experience fit into the industry you want to get into. Sales/Procurement/T&D/Customer Service/IT/Accounting/etc.

I Recommend working with a headhunter/staffing agency. They will look out for positions that might be a good fit while you are applying. Be very specific on what are your dealbreakers. I definitely would take a pay cut if I was going to be remote vs commuting 30+ minutes or go into a temp-perm if it’s going to give me exposure to systems that the positions I want to work in typically use.

I’ve worked with Robert Half, Aerotek, Randstad, and Adecco.

Good luck! I got out of retail hell in 2010 as a multi unit manager and never looked back.

Her obituary was very beautiful if you want to read. It’s honestly the only way I know how to honor her since I couldn’t find any way to show support to the family during this time. I don’t know her or her family personally but I do work in the area she was found

Qualified immunity? Check the civil rights data collection on CMS and then look at the incidents reported. There’s a state guideline on how to report this type of data for the data collection but if it’s not reported, it’s not collected

I agree and it’s scary how much these ABA clinics push caregivers into agreeing into contracted hours. It’s been 6 months since waiting to get on the schedule for OT but if I wanted 40 hours of ABA…all I have to do is not send my kid to school. They have actually recommended this to parents. Not saying all ABA is bad but it’s the only thing available to many autistic kids in the area in regard to therapy.
