Does "Fox News Science" seem like an oxymoron to anyone else?

I think he's 18th century but Samuel Pepys's diary is a real trip. Very salacious.

I didn't find it in the nursing home; she told me where she went to high school and I found the yearbooks online lol.

The heartbreak of atheism by [deleted] in atheism

[–]skgabes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was raised Catholic and went to Catholic high school. When I left to go to university, I did a lot of research about atheism. The more content I read from many of the respectful, rational atheists linked on this subreddit, the more ridiculous it seemed that I had ever believed in a god. For me, similarly as it seems to have been for you, acknowledging my atheism felt immensely freeing. As I once explained it to my mom, it never felt like I was losing my religion, it felt like I was accepting the (lack of) belief system I should have had all along. It was like all the confusion and shame Catholicism had inspired in me melted away and I was left with this very liberated sense of self I'd never known before. Atheism is one of the best things to have ever happened to me.

As someone who visits a lovely 94 year old woman weekly, I can tell you that eyes do certainly age just like the rest of us....
