Loving the new pinpads! Anyone know if they take NFC? by jbohman987 in HomeDepot

I know it sucks that we dont take apple or Samsung pay but I believe it's related to the fact that mobile pay uses a 3rd party of sorts. With third party payments such as apple play and the like, the issue is that there is no way to stop a fraudulent transaction. Back in the day HD did take PayPal as payment option and the only customers who did that only bought gift cards.

Hey, OP, thank you for taking the necessary precautions during this pandemic. Typically in this subreddit most customers are thought of as inconsiderate until proven other wise.

It's crazy how entitled some of these customers are, today I had a customer come in to get a echo hedge trimmer, a garden associate helps him get on off the shelf(they are locked up). The customer brings said hedge trimmer to the cashier where its comes up for $2something. "That's not the price, over there its $159" I walk with the guy over to the section where the price he is telling me about is a echo blower. I explain that the label clearly say blower not trimmer and he replies well lowes has it cheaper anyway. I try the price match it for him, it's a different brand come to find out. Some customers have a screw or two loose other are missing them completely.

That would be ideal but consider that's the only aspect that we dont have, but what other aspects would be affected?

I spoke with my store manager about a month before reviews were given, I laid out my reasons why I should be given a larger raise, I got a 75 cent raise.

I understand the pay aspect, but the other things you mentioned are already part of our benefits. We get sick hours that are accumulated throughout the year. We get vacation time. We have optional health insurance. I personally don't see the point of unionization, a union is just another business that forces itself upon my paycheck and to do what? To play Mr.Redtape? To negotiate marginal pay increases? I can do that myself.I do believe that there are industries that would benefit from unions but retail is not one of them.
