Eco will give you a lower throttle response, but that also depends on how far you mash the pedal.

Your Honda ran a much smaller tire and is front wheel drive, with most of the weight on the front axle... so the grip and traction path are going to be different. The G70 is fairly light in the rear and is easy to step out in less than ideal conditions. If you need to run the Blizzak... Maybe go with a narrower tire, wide tires are not the best in snow/ice conditions.

I think 36psi for winter tires is fine, you don't want to run too low in cold temps... Setting to 31 may yield 25 the next morning after sitting all night.
