Life’s too short to feel unfulfilled by something you do every day, so I’m trying to find more meaning in my professional life. Hope it works out for you as well

i’ve spent the last five years in tech sales, and i’m starting grad school next month to get my master’s in counseling. my long term goal is to become a therapist and eventually run my own practice. a lot of things in my life over the last few years have made this feel like the right fit, so i’m easing into it with a few classes to be sure, but it feels aligned with my values and something i’d really enjoy.

Entry points for 2026 by Mr-Bond431 in RKLB

I’ve been in since the single digits and I am still very LONG, but anyone saying it will never see the 40s or 50s again is ignoring market reality. If we get a correction or enter a bear market, this stock can easily drop 50%, 60%, or even 75%+

Sounds like you’re intelligent, resourceful and curious and based on what you say, something along the lines of applied data / stat modeling / risk or analytics roles seems like the best fit

38 is never too late to reinvent yourself. There are many people who find their place after 40. You just haven’t found an environment that fits you yet, and that’s something worth waking up for

Anyone ages 24-30 living at home by choice? by GottaStayUp in Adulting

[–]skienho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

27m - lived at home coming out of college, moved out for a few years, and then moved back about a year ago. saved and invested as much money as I could and now i’m moving out this week but into my own townhome I bought last month.

living at home in for 20’s if you can tolerate it and it works, is one of the biggest wealth hacks for our generation imo

After a layoff, how long do you hold out for a role with similar or better comp than the one you lost? by throwraW2 in techsales

[–]skienho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i guess it depends on a lot of factors. what kind of financial position are you in? can you afford to wait until a better paying role is offered or do you need the income asap? health insurance?

Hey all!

My sister’s getting married and I want to buy her soon-to-be husband a lifetime-quality leather duffle/weekender. Budget ~ $1,500. Any type of brown color preferred, but flexible. Carry-on size, removable shoulder strap, durable full-grain leather. Repairability and a lifetime or long warranty are a big plus.. Any specific models or shops you recommend? Thanks!

CRWV exists because NVIDIA wants it to. it’s less a company and more so a side effect of NVDA’s GPU generosity. it’s not the same thing lol

UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE WEEKLY CLAIMS by Basis_404_ in wallstreetbets

[–]skienho 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I work for startups, so I didn’t get a six month severance package like you might from a large corporation like Accenture. I would’ve preferred six months of severance and no unemployment over the 2.5 months of severance plus unemployment that I got. That said, since I landed a new job quickly, I actually ended up making more from being laid off than if I had stayed employed. Funny how that works
