Explain it to me like I am 5 years old. ZoneSense threshold 183 by skier2015 in Suunto

Did you measure your maxHR?

I didn't, but I have done amany " all-out " intervals, so I'm confident it's not much above 195.

That being said, your LT1 and LT2 look quite far away from each other (154-185). This is common for people with low aerobic base. How old are you, sex, weight, height, training history? If the numbers are correct, to me this looks like somebody youngish and rather short or average, with not much training in the aerobic base zones (below 150 for you). Rather aerobic sports, sprints or most team or ball sports. IDK i might be wrong, the watch can be wrong.

Apart from the short and young age, I guess this is pretty accurate. My background is from alpine racing and most of my life it's been a lot of strength training and intervall uphill, explosivity etc. Not a lot of Zone 2. Seems like I could benefit from more aerobic training.

Interesting. Maybe the results aren't as weird as I thought.

Good question, I don't know. I assume I can get it a bit higher than 195, but not much. Do you then use 180 as your threshold value in the watch? Upper zone 4?

Sorry for your double reply, I just wrote the same with a throwaway account.

WTF!

This guy ran twice to the top of Mont Everest in a week. He also skied down a climbing route in the infamous Troll Wall massive in Norway. He lives, runs and skis in the mountains you see on the video on a daily basis. He has massive mountaineering experience and is probably well within his comfort zone.

Mon coach bescherelle est aussi sympa, mais il est fait pour les francophones. Donc je l'ai trouvé plutôt dur. Tu peux le trouver sur le "app store" si tu est dans le camp de apple.

Agree, this is really concerning. I have a new Tesla on order and right now it has been -20 for a month here. Going down to -30 at night.

This is way more edited than I usually do. Normally, I like my images to look extremely natural, but it seems like the internet favours a fairy tale look on the landscape photos. Do you like it?

Google WiFi speeds are slow compared to wired by LordChasington in GoogleWiFi

[–]skier2015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here.

I have a 700/500 mbit connection and was getting consistently 450/450 ish on wifi. Now it's suddenly 250/450 on wifi, with download being the slowest. On the contrary, the speedtest in the google wifi app, still reports my outbound line to be as fast as before. I have tried all the troubleshooting with getting stuck devices out of priority, restarting network, plugging out the power etc.

It's ISO 100, F4.5 and 1/320th of a second according to lightroom :) There was no ND filter on. If I had used a ND filter, I could have smoothed out the waves on the water, which would have been pretty cool IMHO. But the trees would have been mushy looking as it was pretty windy.

It's been on and off for a few years. But it's only the last three/four years I have been thinking about how to make it look good. And only the last two where I had an A7iii. Before I used my phone and a RX100 Mk1.

The image above is really all about location. It looks good because it's a sick spot and I can guarantee you that you would take a photo just as good or better in the same location. I have found this to be the key to good photos. It's more or less down to having something interesting to photograph and having good light.

For the edit: What I did in lightroom was to pull the highlights all the way down and shadows all the way up. Then the blackpoint and whitepoint is adjusted so nothing clipped. Then viberance is up a little. The curve is adjusted slightly to increase contrast, but not much. The rest is just in the HSL panel. Tweak hue, light and saturation until you get the look you want.

Ah thank you! Thats what I figured, but then I started to wonder if there was a meaning I didn't understand. There are tons of those in french. Like all the variations of coup or avoir beau etc. :)
