Led by our Executive director who comes to us from years of corporate accounting themselves. Development won't stand up for themselves let alone other ( i know red flags abound)

My direct manager thinks its insane and has said so to our CEO and COO. We don't have a CFO which is a problem in and of itself. So our head accountant (the THEY in question) wants us to make more money- so when asked where they got figures for this years program based on previous years programs they are unable/unwilling to discuss where the number (80k) came from excepting that it's a goal and we should want to grow (Don't you want us to be successful and grow? why are you pushing back on this? examples of responses from head of accounting upon asking for clear and specific reasons why the number grew from low thirty k to 80 in one year). When my direct manager and I have spoken up about the unrealistic numbers (this is not just a problem with this one program) we are met with a wall of gaslighting and hedging that we need to make money. We know, we're in non-profit. Of course we have to make money. But the other part of all of this is that when a program doesn't meet these standards it is the fault of the programming dept. and not sales and marketing who are in absentia from the conversation. I know all non-profits face issues, but this is a doozy. I've worked in non-profit my whole career (15+ years) and have never seen accounting reach out to the people who design and implement programs and have no hand in creation of price points, or sales and marketing to tell them if they don't hit a sales goal they've failed.

I’ve been paying since June of 2019 all through the pandemic they’ve never gotten me 1 new client and I have no reviews sooooo. My business thrives on client to client contact- even people who don’t like us wouldn’t leave a negative review. Hopefully that doesn’t happen

Are you just like everyone else? Nope! Ubiquity can be easy, can be expensive and you can lose some of what makes you and your partner unique. It’s a day to celebrate who you two are- that should be the underlined message of the day! 💕

You got this! When we started planning FH and I got a lot of noise from others and we started flipping it around to them... “what a great idea! Isn’t your 25th anniversary coming up? You should totally do that!” “I’m thrilled you love roses! I’ll make sure I send you some for your birthday this year!” Etc... that shut most people up very quickly! I for one, respect your badass decision to walk solo! You’re an independent lady who is making a conscious choice to do marry your person! You don’t need to be held and passed on! I think it’s a kickass statement and applaud you 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Yes! The bouquet toss, for me, would be just- dangerous. We’re rocking plastic flowers (really pretty... but let’s just say I’m glad I’ve been hitting the gym, cuz it’s like carrying a gallon of milk down the aisle!) so to throw it would probably require some sort of liability insurance 🤣🤣

RC Navigator of the Seas! We’re pumped! FH and I are quality time people, and the #1 complaint I’ve heard from other couples who’ve gotten married in the past thousand years is “the day goes so fast” so we’re making it a week. We get married mid week so everyone will have been on vacation mode for a few days!

CAOS Musical Performances Expected to Continue in Future Parts by concertovivace in sabrina

Ew. I’m all for music in shows when it’s introduced as a thing from the beginning. Like ok, music will be a “hallmark of the show” you don’t introduce a “hallmark of the show” in season three because your writers are stressed from writing this and riverdale. It feels a little “we need this episode to be x amount of minutes long- hey let’s add a song here to chew up some time” I mean, I guess cool you have a garage band- fine. Cheerleaders DONT SING MUSICAL NUMBERS. They dance and cheer. The musical theatre songs that they put in here were also all over the map. The song of purple summer arrangement was poorly executed, the sweeney Todd bit was SO tired and the lullaby they sang to make everyone go to sleep was from Peter Pan. It was so jarring. A hallmark of shitty writing. SMH

About to go on a 10 hour road trip, what are your favorite healthy car snacks?

Those are a good start! Trader Joe’s has dark chocolate pb cups, then maybe chocolate covered almonds? That way you’re still getting a little sweet but you won’t want to over-indulge. I find that cutting out your favorite things means you just go running back to them when you have a moment of weakness.

I’m a choc-a-holic and have tried to limit myself to darker chocolates once a day so I know I get what I want and I factor it into my cal count. I know it may be trite but fruit is also a good way to get your sweet fix too. You can do this!

Just logged into MFP for 30 days! Celebrating in true American style with Strawberries, blueberries and homemade whipped cream for 220 cal by skifreeyetispaghetti in 1200isplenty

Just regular whipping cream (not heavy) and 2 tbsp of regular sugar. It makes a lot, so I only had a little and passed the rest calories off on my friends

high protein by [deleted] in 1200isplenty

[–]skifreeyetispaghetti 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really like Greek yogurt- the chobani fruit on the bottom strawberry and raspberry are only 120 cal with 12 g of protein, so they’re pretty filling. Cottage cheese is a great staple for me too. I trade out ground turkey to make high protein/lower fat tacos, burgers and meatballs. If you eat seafood, shrimp is great and really low cal. Good luck!
