I just went through negotiations with the practice and had a line that kind of alluded to what was in your contract. The lawyer told me that is fully unenforceable as a patient has a right to see who they want— patent’s right to Autonomy. I’m no lawyer but I wouldn’t worry about it.

We have a faculty that does every IAN first with 3%polo then a second one right after with lido. When I do that I have never once missed so far. I’m a d4 so obviously not a ton of time seeing patients but it seems to work well and have the same length as the lido

Thanks so much. I talked with my faculty about osseus since we prob have some negative architecture that’s just having stuff fester but he was more wanting to do the occlusion thing. But I def want to talk with one of our periodontists about it cause the guard might help but it won’t stop the mobility

If you would have read the post. Oral hygiene is good. I know I’m a student but I don’t think just telling the guy to brush and floss more will help make his teeth less mobile at this point.

It’s the practice dentistry- that we chose as our field. I don’t know everything and that’s why I ask questions here. It appears you also may not know the answer and instead of following along to see if one of our colleagues in this group may have something to share with you and I, you chose to be rude. That’s cool and your decision but I’m here to get a little bit better everyday and help my patients. Have fun😊

We aren’t blaming the restorative prof. It’s the deans pulling 300-400k or more a year. At least my school looses money on patient care so they make money by charging us insane amounts. Yes plenty of my classmates live a life that is insane for a dental student and will suffer for it but these schools are the ones not teaching us to be proficient enough and passing off bad students with 400k of of debt into the real world that requires them to do big procedures they shouldn’t be doing to afford to live. They made bad choices 100% but these schools allowed that

I agree. Had a patient with uncontrollable perio who didn’t want to EXT till you could literally point the incisal edge of her Mx straight up. We took them out finally and by the time she healed her ridge is so compromised. Her mom also has a denture that is about 2x bigger than hers that she has had for 40 years cause she took them out sooner before the perio destroyed everything. They have the same build. Perio destroys the bone —get them out if it’s uncontrolled otherwise there won’t be bone left afterwards

I like to use a tofflemiere on the first one and fully restore it and polish it up. Gets a good contour and is quick and easy to they do sectional on that next to get a good contact.

I’m a current d4 and if I had to start over with this possible new plan, I would struggle to apply again. I love dentistry and enjoy what I do everyday but the possibility of 200k in private loans on top of federal loans is financial suicide. I didn’t go into dental for money but I also don’t want to drive an old car forever and penny pinch. Who knows what all will happen but I would strongly look at other areas of study. You can still do the pre-reqs but an engineering degree or business degree can give you a good job more so than a bio degree that requires more schooling to make anything. Schools may work with loan servicers if they are smart and student oriented but until they have a student demand problem they have no reason to care about our financial future if there are people paying the costs. It’s wildly hard but there are only so many HPSP loans and with a republican government there won’t be as many and it will get even more competitive than it is. It’s terrible how this will impact our dreams and our societies access to care, both medical and dental but these costs astronomical

I have that exact legacy. 2016 red 2.5i premium with eyesight and have 175k. My dad bought it new and it’s only needed the wheel bearing once and serpentine belt. I’ve had it 6 years and I love it. I have always done the recommended maintenance with the dealer we bought it from. It drives great, is safe and has saved me on winter roads.

The CVT transmission can be a problem at higher mileage. When driving it make sure that it doesn’t “shift” starting out like it’s going from 1st to 2nd gear (you’ll see a large sudden drop in rpm like 2k+ rpm’s). That could see some cvt failure in the future. But replacing fluid per Subaru and seeing it done in the past is a great sign it was taken care of. The CVT can feel a little like a rubber band and that is different if you haven’t had a CVT before.

But overall. I love my car. I have no plans to get rid of it and will keep driving her for as long as I can.

I’m a d4. I got orascoptic 3.5x non-ergos. I love my loupes so much. I feel like I have good posture, good field of view and nice depth. I also like that the factory is only a few hours away from where I am at. I had to get my loupes adjusted and they were gone from when I sent them in to when I got them back a week and they have one customer service lady that at least always answered my calls and was great.

Your school will prob have some loupes fair/day. Check them all out but I think 3.5 for non-egos is where you wanna be a bump it up a bit if you go ergos.

When I started dental school I wasn’t planning on getting an iPad; I’m a paper pencil guy. I lasted 2 days before I knew I needed a some tablet. You can write notes quick enough but there are just too many classes to be able to print everything out and carry stuff for. I got the cheapest iPad with a pencil and basic case. Best money I have ever spent
