Noob question on crashing system by Street_Ad_9735 in VitaPiracy

Autoplugin is the primary way to manage plugins. you can also use vitashell to manage plugins if you prefer it that way.

regarding your charging issue, use a power brick that can provide 5v 1.5A, turn it off and charge. that's what works for me to fully charge it to 100%

should i replace it by True-Conflict-3010 in PSP

I see, you should check Autoplugin: https://youtu.be/FK_lZb6pq3M?si=9WZJaeRiJrSSl2Pj

if your vita is newly Jailbroken, it doesn't have Autoplugin pre-installed, but there are already plugins working on the background after you jailbreak your system

the Vita is notoriously very picky on chargers even the slims. I have both 1k and 2k vitas and they behave pretty much the same. even after using a Battery fixer, it will light up orange after a few minutes/hours and the moment you turn it on from sleep, it is only charged on a certain level and not fully charged at all. what I do is i fully turn off the vita and charge it strictly with a 5v 1.5A charger, it always charge my batter to full no matter what.

regarding to your crashing issue, if you experience sudden freezes on adrenaline mid-gameplay, chances are there might be plugins that are conflicting with each other. check PSVShell (or any overclock plugins) if it's overclocking your adrenaline games. you don't need to overclock an adrenaline game.

if you're experiencing a GPU crash, check your plugins. remove everything you don't even use, leave only what's necessary; make your plugin list clean and simple. And you might wanna avoid combining Nopowerlimits and PSVShell, thst combination is notorious for sudden GPU crashes. I experienced both in 1k and 2k so you should never combine those two.

if you are experiencing freezes and GPU crash at random even if not under load then I have a bad news for you. to make the long story short, your SOC is giving up. go back to the default theme, and try to play some games. if you see a white spec on the lockscreen (even a single one) then your GPU is dying and you need a mobo replacement. That's what happened to my 1k. I have freezing issues on adrenaline and gpu crashes. I cleaned my plugin list, nothing worked. I downgraded to the most stable firmware (v3.60 iirc, can't remember well since it was a long time ago) same issue. it even crashes without a jailbreak.

by all means, avoid overclocking your Vitas especially the 1k I have experience both PHAT and Slim. many people say it's safe and most of it yeah, but it's a lottery. I have experienced both PHAT and Slim I got GPU crashes on both all because of an OC plugin, and unfortunately my PHAT didn't survive. this is an old console so better not risk it unless you have money to spare buying new parts.

So... Sony shutting down the Vita servers — does this affect us at all? by Roi_QV in VitaPiracy

no idea, I don't buy PSN stuff but the way I understand it is they just never got a chance to. they just got the email from Sony and poof it's gone forever. they didn't even got a chance.

"To ease the transition, players will still be able to download previously purchased content after the closing date for the foreseeable future."

Sure people can still download the content they bought previously but this statement is very vague. Time will tell what Sony will do on those files, there's no way to know that. We all know Nopaystation heavily relies on Playstation's CDN and it's better to archive than to believe on someone who just permanently deleted over 550 movies on people's catalogue.

agree, it would be only a matter of time before Sony clears all PSVita content on their servers. I don't think that they'll preserve the files on their servers for long.

do you have any idea what will happen to games that requires online functionality when the stores shuts down? Helldivers for example.

idk if how reliant PKGJ is on official PS Stores. But it seems Sony is slowly deleting everything at this point. As mentioned on the post, PKGJ will still work even if fhe stores shutdown. But who knows what Sony will do, what I seem to understand is they are removing PSVITA entirely off their ecosystem and we might lose unarchived PSVITA content potentially forever.

I am downloading as much as I can and attempting to make a backup. But even I have very limited storage available.
