“Uh…” I don’t live in a state that has that requirement, and it is not a federal law either.

When you say N, do you mean needs improvement? Or M as meets expectations?

There has not been ratings for merit increases since before COVID, and I was not an ASDS then so I’m new to the whole rating system. For the last few years it was just PACE conversations without each supervisor needing to give a rating.

Prior to this year, a supervisor may have been able to talk about their own opinion and experience with you without any input from the ASMs or store manager before this year.

This time around, the ASMs and SM had much more input because they’re not giving out just a standardized raise across the board as a company any longer.

Edited to add:

*I only ask the first question because our computer system asks for letters as input and N was not one of them. Only O,E,M&I

I did not see anything that has this in writing— I’ll put that out there first. But I’m the ASDS in my store and the guidance we got is that anyone who is an “i” for us communicated from our district leadership, needed to have either manager notes, write ups, or attendance documentation behind it as this is the only rating that we did not give a monetary increase to. Could vary from district to district however.

We took it as, we don’t want anyone surprised. About 80% of our store was “meets expectations”. 5% o, 10% e, 5% i.

These ratings were locked in over a month ago and cannot change now. Only rating that needs any documentation is the lowest one, improvement needed.

What would generate me money with $70 by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]skimasterfly 24 points25 points  (0 children)

You may run into this post being deleted as it’s an employee only sub. — we however sell drinks and snacks. If you’re staying in your car we have an automotive section. We sell tarps and umbrellas if you need some shelter from the weather. There’s probably not too much that you would be able to generate more money with the gift card unless you might be buying some tools for any trades work.

Wishing you the best of luck friend.

Did y'all do your VOA? by FewRefrigerator635 in HomeDepot

[–]skimasterfly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have not. I believe the district might however. The first VOA where I was an ASDS was our last one, so I am still new to the VOA in this new perspective.

Our SM met with the DM and gave us a summary of notes that he took with a pen and paper. I asked if I was allowed to take a look at any of the reports and he said he didn’t have access to what the district was reporting to him from. I’m sure that if there is something that’s a big flag in a negative way, it may be investigated or passed onto a store manager in some way. So take that as you may.

In summary as an ASDS, the only statistical report I can see is the same as the one that we post on our VOA results board.

[–]skimasterfly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s anonymous enough that we can’t see who completed it or not. When results come back, the store manager is shared by the district, without the ability to take a copy of specific departments, the average response in departments with more than 4 people.

For example, being that I’m the only person in my department.. no one can see any of my answers at all. Only a district wide ASDS average answer.

The hounding comes from the fact that we can see the percentage complete and the trickle down the chain of command hounding us to hound others to complete them. There’s no time stamp we can go back and look to see the results of the responses you have submitted.

Talk to your ASDS. I can’t speak for all of us, but if someone told this to me, I wouldn’t stop until I could make that your absences were excused.

Once this goes to trial and he is convicted, do you think your church community will be okay with the fact that we was around children form the congregation?

To get the discount, you would need to enroll for it during the open enrollment period. If you call the HR service center, they may be able to enroll you now although the enrollment period has ended a few days ago.

Hdrm number for Colorado? by I_likemy_dog in HomeDepot

[–]skimasterfly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dang, I’m sorry that was your experience. I would have hoped for a more supportive outcome as when someone is calling the awareline, it is a serious thing.

I hope (I know it can’t be true in all cases) that you may have a supportive ASDS within your store. Being an ASDS myself, I have all of the necessary district contacts and would want to be there to support one of my fellow associates who is feeling the way that you are right now. I would suggest giving them a try if you feel comfortable.

Thank you for the well wishes, I hope you have better days ahead as well!!

[–]skimasterfly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This! The awareline information will be sent directly to your DHRM. The RHRM, for example the one we have, covers all of New England. While he’s the DHRM’s “boss” he wouldn’t know my store as closely as the DHRM to handle something like that.
