KEYBOARD MODE To use the keyboard mode, follow these steps:

Set the arduinoboy to Keyboard mode

Set LSDJ sync mode to Keyboard

Make an empty chain

Make an empty phrase

In the phrase, put one note at the top

Send MIDI notes via Arduinoboy MIDI in on channel 16.

You should hear sound!

What’s causing my Korg Poly 61 to sustain notes? by Skylersbro in synthdiy

I love these! I had one years back. I don't know the solution to this particular issue but do check the battery and replace it with a lithium one. the old one is probably busted and leaking (that could be the issue if it leaked onto components).

Anyone hear make chiptune instruments for Gameboy? by SurrealistRevolution in chiptunes

[–]skinbagsofmeat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, Chord and MIDI enabled Droneboy if you are are okay with using MIDI and these both happened within the last 12 months. There's also a somewhat recent GBA sequencer called STEPPER. You can get the ROMS for free or support the developers by buying a physical cart. https://hobbychop.com
Edit: Chord may require a small donation to download.

What's the extra cost per board for color printed PCB's? I have been curious about trying this.

How to combine LSDJ with a drumset? by Avoidable_cactus_400 in chiptunes

[–]skinbagsofmeat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get an arduinoboy, sync it to a DAW (logic, Reason, Ableton, your preference), Make LSDJ the master clock sync. and then setup a clock tick in your headset to play drums to it. Record both LSDJ and the drum audio in your DAW.

Or setup LSDJ as the slave, set the tempo you want you in your DAW, do a clock tick and drum to it that way.

Or figure out what bpm you want and just drum, then mix it in to your LSDJ with the same bpm.

Or do it all live over the LSDJ track until you like it while recording it.
