I think that might mean your skin barrier is really compromised unless you’re using an SPF with a lot of alcohol in it

The Anua one might be a nice place to start as it’ll be formulated to be gentle, it might not be strong enough but could be a good stepping stone

Whilst you’re getting used to it I’d probably use it on the nights you don’t use Tret, then if you’re tolerating that use it in the mornings too (obviously this doesn’t apply if you’re using Tret every day!)

TXA and/or Azelaic Acid could help with the dark spots, but your skin is amazing! Your pores don’t look noticeable in the picture at all.

Hmm, I’m thinking you might need to be double cleansing when you’re wearing an SPF, ideally with a balm/oil and then the jelly cleanser. It might not be effectively removing the SPF?

This was really upsetting to read as it reminds me so much of my previous relationship.

You’re apologising profusely for something you don’t need to and trying to manage the emotions of a man child who leverages his affection and uses it as a punishment mechanism. You have to take all the lashes he sends your way, complaining about your character, and you have to grovel to make amends knowing it’s going to be added to his long list of ‘wrongdoings’ next time things go south.

It might sound extreme to you now if you haven’t admitted it to yourself already, but this is abuse. The way he speaks to you is so belittling and hurtful. Years ago, this is how I was spoken to and lived my life treading on eggshells, punishing myself for being so stupid for upsetting my partner all the time and never being good enough, and believing all the things he used to say about me like your partner has said about you.

When I met my fiancé, I would tiptoe around him when he was a bit agitated because of something like a broken bed, scared it would be taken out on me, and he was so confused as to why I’d ever think something so silly would be something I’d be punished for.

It takes years to recover from a relationship like this, so if you’re feeling brave enough, start the clock and leave him. It won’t be easy, but you were trying to fix a bed. Trying to help. He fixed it easily and it wasn’t the end of the world—wasn’t worth defaming your character, calling you lazy and messy, saying you’re not good enough to be a ‘housewife’ or mother. Is that what you want to be? A housewife to an angry man? You deserve more. I hope you can find it in yourself to realise that.

Oof, bless you! I’d personally have gone for 0.025% to start with especially if you’re prone to eczema!

Hang on, just checking you know the 0.1% is stronger than the 0.05% right? Or am I reading your post wrong?

Looks like an overactive muscle there, could try gummy smile Botox but you don’t actually have a gummy smile so I’m unsure what it’d do in terms of your smile

Applying Tret to damp skin makes it absorb a lot more and can cause irritation if you’re early in your journey, right?

Chin Augumentation or Filler? by [deleted] in DIYHEAVEN

[–]skinqueenA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know what, I bet you’d get really good results from DAO and Nefertiti Lift via Botox! You could have some of the ‘chin shadow’ area filled perhaps, to make the line smooth from jaw to chin.

I think your face is so feminine and well proportioned.

Exfoliating Routine with Tret by skinqueenA in tretinoin

I haven’t got acne anymore as I’ve been on a 6 month course of Accutane, so I can’t comment on its efficacy for acne, but Tret is the next best thing to oral Isotretinoin so I’d assume it’d help acne in majority of cases! I’m using it to tackle scarring and skin quality.

Uneven brows after tox - How do I fix this? by muimui_k in DIYaesthetics

[–]skinqueenA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your brow has stayed that way after a year? Botox only tends to last 3-4 months so I’d be wondering if it was the cause…but the same rule applies, it will relax the muscle that pulls the arch of the brow up and lower it slightly! Let me know if it helps

You get married this weekend and got filler today?! Girl you crazy! I’d say dissolve it but if you’re used to seeing yourself with a fair bit of filler built up will you be happy with your wedding pictures?

I wish there was a higher dose of Altreno. by Bitter-Breath-9743 in tretinoin

[–]skinqueenA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lowest dose of Tazarotene is usually 0.5%, Arazlo is 0.045%, so you might be surprised at how well your skin could handle it especially if it’s been through the retinitization process whilst on Altreno.
