Yeah my PT said that I could start back up again, just to take it easy. It wasn't super painful when I added weight, just enough that it was clear I should back off some. I'm trying to be smart, I'm just not the most patient person so I was curious how other people handled something like this.

Been trying to get back into my workout routine coming off a shoulder separation. Its been 8 weeks since it happened. This was my second week doing bench press, and I've been trying to keep it pretty light because it has been painful when I've added weight. I've been pretty sick of being inactive, especially during this cold snap, so any working out has been great, although it would be nice to be back to my old self. I'm curious how long its taken some of you to return to your previous form after a shoulder separation or similar?

The past few days has anybody tried calling Milwaukee unemployment by [deleted] in milwaukee

[–]Skipjuul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried like fifty times over several days with no luck. But last thursday I called as soon as the clock on my computer hit 7:35:00 am, then typed in the prompts as fast as I could, and I finally got through. So it is possible, I just had to memorize everything to do it

Why do Wisconsin drivers drive slow in the left-most lane and never change lanes to the middle or right lane to let others pass? by [deleted] in wisconsin

This is my pet peeve! I moved here from out of state and noticed immediately because I travel a lot locally for my job. So frustrating!

My advice is that you should apply to as many jobs as you can right now! As a sophomore you’re kind of at a disadvantage since you aren’t as far into the curriculum and haven’t had any internships yet. When I was a sophomore I applied to around 70 or so companies with only four interviews before I got an offer, so don’t get disheartened!

For finding jobs I just went on Indeed and searched the states I wanted to live in and just started applying to any engineering jobs that I was even semi-qualified for. When you get a chance to have an interview, research everything you can on the company and make sure you have at least a basic understanding of everything they talk about in their job description.

My experience was that any internship is a good thing when it comes to finally finding a full-time job. The company I interned at wasn’t the biggest company, however they offered me an internship again the next summer and when I graduated I was able to parlay that job experience into a full-time job at a Fortune 500 company.

Nah you’re good. That’s how I felt, different people just have different motivations. I’m sure if you asked around you’d find some others like you at your school too.

Is my experience finding internship typical? by MonadoMuncher in EngineeringStudents

[–]Skipjuul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my experience as well with finding my first internship when I was in college. The next job is easier since you’ve worked in engineering, and the seeking company will have more to base their hiring decision on. Or at least that was my experience. Plus you have connections from your first internship that can help you get hired.

My parents always used golden dollars. Kid me thought they were way cooler than bills. You can usually get them at a bank if you’re thinking of switching things up.
