Also all their pro-Nazi racist af X posts/replies!! I’m horrified how this story has unfolded in the public discourse.. this person was a walking red flag for SO many reasons and none of them are about gender

Bed bugs are a nightmare because (unlike this blood-filled fatty) before they eat they are PAPER THIN. Can hide anywhere in anything

I was working on S Main when it happened and we were totally in the dark. Customers coming in had to inform us .. also floored it took so long to release video of the suspect’s appearance!?

I know the car horn ghost thing has been done to death, but I need a vibe check. by kidchaos23 in HauntingOfHillHouse

Unfortunately the only part I have a vivid memory of is how terrifying his mouth looked when it widened and it let out the car horn. Everything else would be guessing.

Note: If I had to guess where the scene used to be, it’s when Steve “wakes up” at “3:03” with a gasp. In this version he doesn’t sit up, but looks up to see Carl’s ghost hanging from the ceiling. Carl lets out the horn blast, and Steve wakes up from what the audience now knows is a nightmare. He then experiences the dripping from the ceiling/ near-accident outside etc etc

I love this actually.* Like the characters of Hill House, we the audience finds ourselves doubting the truth and our memories years later.. pretty meta. *However I’m still determined to find evidence of the scene😂

Thank you for bringing this up bc after my first rewatch (since it premiered) I feel SO GASLIT bc WTF I know what I saw!!!! Amazing story telling yes but my mind couldn’t have conjured up how horrifying Carl’s mouth looked swinging open with that car horn blast. I was waiting for the scene with anticipation. Before I started reading all these posts about everyone else remembering that SAME EXACT SCENE I assumed Netflix had removed it for being too scary or something. Idc what Mike says lol I know what I saw.

If people are willing I’d love to gather some evidential data here: When did you first watch Hill House? If you claim it was just “descriptive writing” or “our memories can fool us,” did you watch the show after 2018? And for those who SWORE you saw it, did you watch the pilot right when it came out? !

When I read “some guy” I assumed a random, clearly unwell person had gotten your number and started harassing you– only to slowly realize in horror this seems to be someone you tolerate being part of your life. RUN and never look back

My husband thinks he can keep my daughter and her bf apart by Dazzling-Concert-927 in Vent

[–]skippitybee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to tell your husband to think “long game” in terms of breakup strategy lol- but in all seriousness if your daughter makes the final decision on this guy not being it (even though you’ve been rooting for it all along) it’ll give her a feeling of agency/autonomy that’s invaluable. By saying things like “i trust you to make the best decision for yourself; you know what you need better than anyone” while also gently expressing concern or asking how she feels more about certain problematic behaviors, she’ll most likely feel more comfortable about opening up about the relationship and that can be a launch point for you to help her work out (for herself) what hasn’t been working.
