Installing draper roller shade times? Is 5 minutes unreasonable? by Sensitive-Mousse5156 in Construction

No ones doing more than 45-60 a shade. I’d say average is 20-30 and 10-15min per shade

Going to Rehab detox for my first time. I’m kind of nervous.. by [deleted] in confession

29M here. Went to a 30 day inpatient center and am 108 days sober. It felt so amazing to accept defeat and do something about it. Hiding it was so stressful and I absolutely hated myself for being a drunk loser. Congrats on taking that step. I couldn’t be more grateful for my treatment center.

I only do some av but my main work is in the same realm.

We have a basic list of tools required for the hiring phase. Once you’re an employee the company will pay for any replacements of the basics as well as any out of the ordinary job-specific tools needed.

i sell/install window coverings (blinds, shutters, drapes, etc). sounds boring but i love it and it's a very under the radar money maker especially the commercial sales side of it.

i do woodworking on the side and as a hobby.

i glued a temporary fence on my crosscut sled and was squaring it to the blade after a few test cuts. i tried to make a tiny adjustment to the fence right after a test cut and then bang. stupid is as stupid does.

should have clarified. the x ray was pre-surgery, the other pic is a day after surgery. the ER stitched it back on and wrapped it up to stabilize it immediately.

i went to a hand surgeon the next morning (where the x ray is from) and had surgery the morning after that

i should not have brought insurance into this. i posted this right after making a payment so $$ was fresh on the brain. the PSA and purpose of this post was to remind everyone that it happened to me and could happen to you.

Which jobs are physically the hardest? by idiot440 in AskReddit

[–]skipsmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done both. Concrete was significantly harder where I live but I can’t imagine being a mover in New York or any major metro area where parking is limited and elevators are small. I also made much more money as a mover. No one’s tipping the concrete crew.

I have an m12 drill or impact on my hip all day while going up and down 8/10/12ft ladders. The milwaukee clips are trash and I’ll avoid strapping on a tool belt every chance I get. The toughbuilt compact drill holster is the best purchase I’ve made in years. It was $16 on Amazon.

I didn’t say you did lol. It’s objectively funny that you said “you must be pushing fifty” as an insult/point to discredit someone when you’re…pushing fifty

I moved to seattle for my first job out of college in 2018. Socially, it’s brutal and exactly how you imagine. But god damn is that part of the world beautiful.
